Just so you know...

I have linked his father as requested. Thanks!

I saw your message that you left on contributor Mary Roberts message page asking if she knew where Donald Christeson was buried. I requested a tombstone photo for Grace Christeson yesterday. The photo request was answered and a memorial was also made for Donald in the same cemetery that Grace is in. The Find A Grave # is 106261153. Grace has a niece, Susan, daughter of Faye and Gene Burnett who is a cousin of mine. That is why I was also interested in seeing a photo of Grace's tombstone. Grace lived in Missouri after her children were grown and I knew her then.

For a bit of clarification, the 1/1/1904s came from a problem with importing info with Excel spreadsheets. Any date field that is blank ends up as 1/1/1904 in Find A Grave since is the oldest date Excel can recognize. I fix these as I find them so thanks for letting me know.

[My first message disappeared, so I am continuing with this one.]
On William's memorial page, I linked his parents and wife to him. I'm sure that many of the Karnes in the cemetery are related. It just takes time to see how.
Although many of my family and relatives are buried in the Anutt Cem, I am not related to the Karnes. The reason I have so many listings in the cemetery under my name is because I was loaned the huge volume of the book that lists the cemeteries in Dent County plus their burials as well as the info of each deceased person. While I had this book, I took the time to list all the burials (to the published date; believe it was early to mid '90s) in the Anutt Cemetery. I wrote everything down as it was listed with each deceased person. My intention was to help others looking for info on their loved ones, and I'm happy to have helped you. Sincerely, Judy

The Citizens Voice and Times comes out on a Thursday, normally they do not put the obits in that early. I think his death would have be Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 but I was not sure so I did not put the date in. If you have the correct date please let me know.

Emailed off the information. If it doesn't transfer well let me know and I will try again with different sizing or will get hard copies and mail them to you. Cheers!!

I found a treasure trove this morning!! I have his funeral home records and obituary that was printed in the local newspaper. It gives Geneva's maiden name, year/place of marriage, son's names, and the fact he was the chief of police for Villa Grove. It only lists his step father though.
But you have hit the mother load for him! Still no information on Geneva's death though.

|Tori||RE: Everett Soard|
You are quite welcome. I have posted the photos just now. And added a few more Soard's who weren't in the book. All but Everett and Geneva were buried in the same area of the cemetery. Oh and if Geneva is still alive please let me know so I can remove the memorial.
I will hit the library tomorrow and see what else I can find.
