EDITS AND OTHER CHANGES: I am happy to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
TRANSFERS: I will transfer any memorial I have created on request EXCEPT those for:
* my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries,
* I will not transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. You don't trust me, I don't trust you,
* I will not transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
PHOTOS: I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. My thinking on this is that if you don't want people to copy your photos, DON'T PUT THEM ON THE INTERNET.
RE: Thanks so much Dennis!.. It's much appreciated, however I am a bit confused, as my Great Great Grandparents were Gerhard and Marte Quiring Petker.
According to all info I have on this family, is that they Immigrated here from Russia. My Great Grandfather George Gerhard Petker was born in Russia, in 1869, and they Immigrated here in umm. 1872 I believe. They were one of the original settler Families in Henderson, Nebraska. Gerhard was a Blacksmith. Now it's correct that Marte died in Childbirth. Gerhard went on to remarry and have a bunch more kids. This information is the only info that I have had on Marte Quiring Petker.
I saw your last name, and that you were doing a Quiring virtual cemetery, so I thought I would message you and ask if you have run across a Marte Quiring, in your Work. She was my Great Great Grandmother. She was married to Gerhard Petker. They came from Russia, and settled in Henderson, Nebraska. I have much information, on the Petkers, but the Quirings have been a mystery. She and Gerhard are buried in Henderson, but I don't know where. I thought these People might be familiar to you.
Martha Quiring Pabst I just got confirmation of the date of her death in Mt. Lake. She died March 17. I thought it had to be earlier than the 20th because it was announced in church on Sunday. I wish funeral homes would be more diligent in requiring such basic info before they release he obit to the public. Thought you would like to know. Thanks.
Hoffnungsau cemetery request Dennis - Thanks for looking for Hilda & Pete Froese at Hoffnungsau cemetery ... between Inman & Moundridge, KS. This was about 3 1/2 years ago. You didn't find a marker there at that time.
I'm thinking the gravestone may have been being re-engraved at that time. Pete died Oct 18, 1979 and Hilda died Sept 12, 2011 ... you replied to my request in Aug 16, 2012.
If you go back to Hoffnungsau cemetery (don't make a separate trip) please take another look. A photo of the gravestone would be greatly appreciated. It's interesting that Pete is not in the Find-A-Grave database.
I live near Albuquerque, so it's quite a trip to Hoffnungsau for me. I was born in Moundridge & raised at Inman.
