Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a family man and web programmer, who has recently assumed the role of family historian from my mother.

I am active on Ancestry.com, and I used Findagrave, com to help in my research.

The memorials in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN (except Charles and Elsie Slocum) are random headstones I photographed while my buddy was taking requested headstones. If you want one transferred to you, just let me know.

The families I'm most interested are in my Virtual Graveyard.

RE: Glenn Reed Morris
I have nothing more just the fact that they were his children. I have a book that my father wrote many years ago. He grew up close to Ocheltree KS and knew all those old timers.
I'm trying to pass on all the info I have so others can benefit from it.
The other two probably are still living.

RE: Wanda and Draper Downing
We're both having brain farts. You have his place of burial listed at ancestry.

I checked and there is a memorial w/photo for him at Grandview Cemetery. Wanda's name is on the marker but no burial date.

Also, the date of birth (Wanda) on the marker is probably wrong if she was born in November as her brother, Thomas was def. born Feb 26, 1900.

I sent an update message to the creator of Draper's memorial asking him to create the family links.

I don't suppose you have any leads as to the burial location for his son, Draper?

I'm working on Draper's wife's family and she, Wanda Bartley, is the last daughter I can't locate.

Thx,
Dawna

RE: John and Elizabeth Fordyce
FYI - John's father Samuel and mother Elizabeth are also buried at Whiteley Chapel. Unfortunately that cemetery has been neglected for some time and is in poor shape, being rather overgrown with many monuments down or broken.

I know some of my memorials at Whiteley ate duplicates of earlier ones. However, after sending additional info. to the original poster without any results, I added the memorials so that the additional info. I had would be available to others.

Elizabeth Fordyce
Thanks for the heads up on Elizabeth Fordyce. I had the information on my genealogy data base but for some reason, I had not included it on F.A.G.

Again, many thanks.

Fredrick Kirgis
Brett,

Sorry for the late reply on your request. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis.

You were asking for a transfer of your cousin Fredrick Kirgis' memorial. I completed the transfer for you…

PLEASE CORRECT THE PARENTS OF JOHN WASHINGTON KAIN
Hello Brett,

I believe we must be cousins. Please correct the parents of John Washington Kain on Findagrave. His parents are Thomas Kain and Mary Herbert Kain. They are buried just a few feet away from him in Batavia Union Cemetery. They are NOT John and Elizabeth Raper Kain. You have our John Washington Kain confused with John Wesley Kain who was the son of John and Elizabeth Raper Kain. Both Johns were born in the same year so this is a very common error. If you check the Kain history in the Clermont County History you will see the mistake. John (husband of Elizabeth Raper) is the older brother of Thomas Kain. Both are sons of the Revolutionary patriot James Kain who is buried in Williamsburg Cemetery. I have many documents to prove this and will be glad to share them with you. I am in the process of submitting an SAR supplemental application for James Kain and I don't want any wrong information out there especially on Findagrave. Thanks for your understanding - I orginally made the same mistake when I first started our family tree.

Best,

Jack Bredenfoerder
