William Lewis Chesser ryoungpe, I am from the Weeaks/Weeks family. Williams' daughter Martha Lucretia married my relative, Isaac Franklin Weeks on October 3, 1861 in Burnet Co., TX. To this union was born one son, William Basil Weeks. Second, Isaac married Martha Matilda nee HINES on March 5, 1874 also in Burnet Co., TX. I am thinking Martha died in childbirth or possible soon after the birth on their son. On William Basil's headstone it says he was born in 1860 but, I feel they made a mistake. I am wondering if you have any information about her. I see that you have done extensive work on the Chesser's. Thanks for any help you can offer. Connie
Thank you! Thank you for managing my gg-grandfather, Mills Whitley's Find-a-Grave page. His wife, my gg-grandmother, was Georgia A. Bishop Whitley, Find-a-Grave number 10084116. She married Luculles Moore after Mills' death in 1910.
Marion Amos Fairchild I'm curious as to where your information came from surrounding the circumstances of Marion's death. I have a written record passed down to me by my granny, Betty Faye Fairchild (great granddaughter of Marion), that says he was accused of horse thieving and hung by 7 men. It says that two of his sons, Hez and Erastus (Rat) were forced to watch and that within one month, they found all 7 men and hung them. It seems he was definitely hung but I'd like to be able to get the story straight about why he was hung. Thank you.
