Bio and Links
I became interested in genealogy when I tried to find a photo of my maternal grandfather, only to find faded and neglected photos. I started a photo collection, then began collecting names and families. Now with FindAGrave, I'm collecting tombstones. I consider family links to be very important. Family members are often buried in different cemeteries. Whenever I can, I show the family links.
Families I'm researching: Christofferson, Iverson, Lev, Swanson, Alley, Wheat, Locke

RE: Dovie Landrum Fugate, Uriah and Ruth Landrum
There actually IS a different Landrum cemetery, also in the general area of Noctor. Uriah Landrum's family is a completely different branch of the family from ours. I think they lived further down the road, maybe near the "Round Bottom" area?? I'm not sure of the actual connection between the branches, but it is not close - goes back several generations.

"Our" little branch of the Landrums mostly moved out of Breathitt County many years ago, and have had little knowledge of or interaction with the Landrums who stayed on and lived in this area recently. You should start a new cemetery on FindaGrave if you can't find the right one, perhaps call it by a slightly different name.

This little cemetery is just past the Hagins Cemetery, high up on a hill, on private property previously owned by Florence Landrum (daughter of Maletha and Reuben Samuel Landrum), now owned by Earl Stevens, and by agreement it contains ONLY Maletha J. (Hagins) Landrum and her descendants and their families - a group that does not include Uriah or his family.

I have walked this cemetery recently and the interments listed on FindaGrave for Uriah Landrum in 1999, Ruth Back Landrum in 2002, and Dovie Florence Landrum Fugate in 2011 are NOT THERE. It could be very misleading for someone trying to find their actual grave locations or even to try to surmise relationships.

I believe this is the wrong cemetery for Ruth Back Landrum - please check your sources.

Dovie - wrong cemetery?
I think you have Dovie Florence Landrum Fugate in the wrong cemetery... this "Landrum Family Cemetery" is high up on the hill, has no other close relatives of her branch of the Landrum family.

RE: Harriet Gonia Jennings
Thanks,

There seems to be some family gossip going on about her and her marriage to my Great-grandpa. My grandmother did not like my grandpa's side of the family and there was problems.

This is my direct line. Merritt is my grandfather.
She has been a bit of a mystery and LeBlanc is part of it. So is Gonia. Until I get more proof, I am leaving it the way it is.
LeBlanc has to do with her mother's name but that is part of the problem. I only found her father so far.

Made correction to maiden name. Link her to Tom Lee as spouse. Is this correct? Is she in your relative search?
Thank you

Hi Sheryl,

I see you phototgraphed Lebanon Cemetery. I was wondering if you know where the church death records/funeral records are for Lebanon Church. Do you know if Hope Lutheran in Summitt has the records? Am trying to track one Kristi Fyrand (Memorial 58447248) actual death date. Thanks! Maren
