I understand the German ways. My Great-grandfather was born in Germany. He went by went by Frank even thur his name was in fact Francis. And when they went to ship his remains back to Illinois to be buried next to his 1st wife, His kids couldn't since his 2nd wife reported that his name was Frank. They had to get to get another Death Certificate.
Plus you said when you wanted a Photo Request, you wanted August Schmidt. The cemetery told me they did not have any record of an August M. Schmidt. And they give me copies of their records of every Schmidt with the giving name of A. I researched the name August and only found two deaths in the Spokane area, One in 1925 in Rockford and the other in 1935 in Medical Lake. I then checked for Obituaries and only found one, and the Cemetery was not known to me. Plus he had been born in Germany. I than checked all the Schimdt's given to me by the Cemetery and took the headstone pictures and if needed created memorials on those that did not have one.
On Alfred and his wife his wife I used me 20 plus years as a genealogist and researched him and his wife. Thinking Alfred could in fact be August. After seeing his World War II 1942 draft Card (Also known as the old man's Draft) where he stated that he did not have a middle name.
Plus rule of thumb when it comes to genealogy research, if you can find three or more resource that show the same names and dates it is to be considered correct. I found more than three on these two people.
This led me to believe that they were 2 different people. So I created the memorials for these people. I am sorry that you may disagree, but according to all document's I found he is in fact Alfred and not August. And from what I have been told is that on this documents they were to give their given birth name. And sime of these documents if a person gave a nickname that name was in quotation marks.
So I have done nothing wrong by creating the memorials that I created. And I did this after I have tried to fulfill your photo request but was told by the cemetery that they has no records of August Schmidt. I followed the rules and guidelines of Find A Grave. And when I go out to the cemetery, I end up taking pictures of every headstone in that Plat and and posted them as needed and those that don't have a memorial, I end up creating them.
Thank you for your time.

I have created and posted a memorial for Albert Schmidt. Because of the Following reasons. All documents with birth and death death lead to Afred.
Both state and federal, along with the cemetery card from Pines Cemetery. Plus I learned from the state digital archives, that his parents were August Schmidt and Mathilde Peger. And found they are buried in the Fairview cemetery in Rockford, WA.
You can view a couple of the documents and the photo of the headstone at Find A Grave Memorial# 132072720
I would be happy to fulfill your photo request - would you call the cemetery to get the burial location?
There are over 11,000 graves there and without a location, it is difficult to find your request.
The phone number is 509-926-2753 - and there is no charge to obtain the location contrary to the description on
I fulfill requests regularly there and will get you the photo if you can supply the grave location to me. Please email info
