Deborah: Thanks a bunch for going out to Oak Hill and taking these photos. Do you remember if Payton had a foot stone at his burial site? If you did take a photo of that, I would certainly love to have a copy. Just e-mail it to me at donterrell10@att.net. Thanks so much for both photos. I really appreciate your help!

Bob Vaught
Mathias Vaught
Hi Deborah, Could I use the photos of Mathias and his wife in my tree? Somehow I have driven past them several times and failed to stop.

RE: Thomas Jefferson Vaught
He was my 3d Cousin, 3X Removed. His lineage goes through Mathias 1833-1890, Solomon 1784-1860, Matthias Sr 1750-1833, and finally to John or Johann Vogt 1725. John was my 5th great grandfather through his other son John 1755. I grew up in the Sweet Home community of Horry County, about 20 miles from the Tilly Swamp Cem, but over on Hwy 9 south of Loris. I have a fairly thourogh workup of the Vaught family if you would like a copy.
