RE: Flanagans
I am sure he is there. I believe the last time we walked through the cemetery my mom commented on him! We live on Chincoteague Island and get there maybe twice a year so I always drop by to see my grandma, Irene Beasley Felts. I am sure we're all kin or we wouldn't share the same cemetery. Do you know of Tena Flanagan aged 14? I've always loved her tombstone because it had a picture of her!

Thank you
Hi Jenny,
This is your cousin, Joyce Hamm Layton, W Douglas Hamm's daughter. (Edsel Hamm's brother).
I just wanted to thank you for contributing to Find-A-Grave info. I love finding out more about our family.
Take care.

Wilsons in West Grove
Can you narrow down the search with first names and dates? If you have never been to the CCHS, they have clippings files of newspaper articles from 1822 to about 1970, filed by last name and first initial, So Wilson, A would include all Wilson surnames whose first name starts with A: Amos, Anna, Ann, Ariel, Adam, Anthony, Angelo, ... The trick then is to glean the entries by the year to see if there is any thing relavant. None of it is digitized, it's the old fashioned way of reading stuff.

We are somewhat related, my aunt Mattie Heath Reilly of Bronx, NY is the grandaughter of Lizzie Hash. Aunt Mattie would like to know how you are related directly. She knows the name Stamper but cannot place the names of the stamper family members.

RE: Flanagans
If this is the right Arnold Flanagan, my mom knew him. Actually some of my cousins on the Beasley side married Flanagans...Glenn Beasley married Thelma and they have a daughter Glenna Marie...does that sound familiar? This cousin (Glenn) actually is the "head of the cemetery"...people contact him about arrangements...

RE: Flanagans
I have put Tena Flanagan on here in 2008. Just type her name in and you'll see! Thanks! Mickey Goad

RE: Flanagans
My mom said that most people in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery are related in one way or another. I feel sure that we are related. I'd have to check it out with her and send you a more detailed message. One gravesite that I have always loved to visit is the young Tena Flanagan. She died at age 14 of rheumatic fever and has a picture on her uniquely beautiful tombstone. I often wonder what she was like as she looks rather frail in the photo. Do you know of her? I'll have to get another photo and upload it if I haven't's been some time!
