Mary Simpson

Mary was born in Indiana, Indiana County, Pa., She died April 23, 1931 in Blairsville, Indiana County, Pa.

Below is her obit and reference to the paper it comes from for you to add to her BIO.

Mrs. Mary Simpson, who died on Thursday at the home of her sister, Mrs. S. G. Wineman, of Blairsville, was a long-time resident of East Mahoning township. She was stricken ill while visiting in the Wineman home. The deceased, who was aged 69 yrs., was born in Indiana, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca (Mitchell) Lytle. Following her marriage to the late Wesley Simpson the couple located to East Mahoning township, where they spent their wedded life. Her husband died in 1929. She was prominently known in that community and for many years held membership with the Gilgal Presbyterian church. She leaves a son, Roy Simpson, of East Mahoning township, and four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Work and Mrs. Anna Hamilton, of Rochester Mills, and Mrs. Irene Van Horn and Mrs. Cornelia Williams, Georgeville; also two stepdaughters, Mrs. Florence Mottarn, of near Marchand, and Mrs. Alice Johnson, of Georgeville; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Flower and Mrs. S. G. Wineman, of Blairsville; two half-brothers, John Lytle, of Penn Run, and William Lytle, of New Alexandria. The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cornelia Williams, and interment followed in the Gilgal church cemetery.
