You are very welcome. They chose interesting pictures for their marker.
|Susan Johnson||Highland Cemetery request|
Jennifer, I found your request for a photo of a grave for William Norris at Highland Cemetery in Greenwood County Kansas. This cemetery is just a mile or so from my parents so the next time I visit, I will go take a picture. I did NOT want to claim it in case I can't get over there in the next 2 weeks.

Your very welcome! Yes you thanked me.

The photo of Frances and Genevieve has been taken. Please tell me if you like the photograph. It was hard to get a really close up of their names.

Hi did you reach Forestvale? We have two other pics to go get and I wanted to take care of this one if you reached them. We walked the entire section and couldn't find it so need it marked and/or for you to verify if there is a stone. This cemetery prefer to hear from the family directly and not from volunteers.

I know someone else said they would fill your photo request but as that has not happen yet, I checked the cemetery when I went there the other day. I inquired at the cemetery office and they told me where Emma was buried. They indicated however that there was no headstone. I took a photo of the plot anyway and added it to Emma's memorial. They also indicated that Flosie was not buried in this cemetery. Best of luck on your search for her.
I saw that you made a request for a photo of the marker for Christian Fuss. Evergreen Cemetery single lot records show that there is no stone on that plot. Do you want a picture of the unmarked grave?
|Heather (~.~)||RE: Emma Stewart|
I'll take a look for Emma and her sister. I'm going to try to see about some others that are also already in here. I'm taking a vacation the end of March so I'll try to go then. So don't worry if I don't get back to you before then.

I was going to attempt to locate the headstone for Emma, however, there appear to be 2 different cemeteries (rather far apart) formerly referred to as Odd Fellows. One is in Reno and now called Mountain View. This one is reasonably close to my home (within ~40 miles). The other is in Virginia City and is the Odd Fellows section of the Virginia City Cemetery. This cemetery is quite far from me ~ 80 miles. Do you know which cemetery Emma would be in? I looked at the only two headstone photos for people listed as interred at Odd Fellows in Reno and one was for each cemetery. I am told you can search on the internet for Nevada Cemeteries and get the listing of people interred at the Virginia City Cemetery. If you will research this aspect and see if you can find a plot number I will be happy to make a trip to Virginia City perhaps sometime this summer (snow's too deep right now). In the mean time I can stop by the Mountain View Cemetery and see if Emma is there.

I have the grave sites for them. I will be out to get photographs of the headstones latter today or tomorrow weather is holding us captive right now though.
Also I have an Ada Elizabeth Armstrong that is burried there. Is that any relation. b. 1898 d. 1989?
