My name is Nadine Coles and I have been doing genealogy for many years. My mother's side is from Wisconsin via Germany, Russia, and Eastern Europe. While my dad's side is from Wisconsin and Iowa by way of England, Norway, and Germany. I live in Indianapolis, so if I can be of any help for local records, feel free to contact me. *********************** You may notice on a lot of my photos, especially the more recent ones, I like to take photos as if the person were actually standing at the grave. I want people to see the surrounding area so they can also see where their loved one is buried. Some cemeteries are quite beautiful and I just want to show people there's more to look at than just the stone on the ground. A picture is worth a thousand words. I've only had one complaint by someone who couldn't see the cemetery for all the gravestones. *********************** When I take a photo of an unmarked grave, most often I write something in the comments. So be sure to look there if the photo is just grass. *********************** And...if it is a large plot, I usually take a photo of all the graves that look like they should be together in that plot and I write all the names in the comments. *********************** I enjoy volunteering and taking photos for others. If you would like to copy the photos and use them elsewhere, for instance on ancestry.com or another genealogy website, I only ask that you give me credit for taking the photo. I don't know how many times I have seen photos on ancestry that were taken by me or originally posted by me, but my name is not attached to the photo. It's very frustrating and hurtful because of the time I have volunteered and someone has just stolen it as their own. So be nice...and give me credit.
Have a Great Day! | |

 | Anna Faulkner Hi Nicole, She was born as Sarah Ann, later in life she went by "Anna". My great-grandmother, Dorothy was Anna's only child had mostly been raised by Anna's parents and was living in Montana when "Anna" died. She didn't make it to her funeral and never returned to Indiana so I'm not sure that she knew her mother did not have a marker. Before Dorothy died she wrote down all the family information she knew and her note indicated to look for a marker with the name Faulkner. One of my great aunts had been there many years ago and couldn't find the marker. This explains now why she couldn't find it. Thank you again!Added by Sheila on May 23, 2013 7:05 PM | | | Diane Bland

 | Sarah Osborne Photo I'm sorry, I just saw your note that she does not have a marker. Thank you so much. My Great Grandmother wrote family notes about where her mother was buried but her notes state she is buried as Sarah Faulkner. She never mentioned that Sarah did not have a marker. Very sad.
Thanks again, I appreciate the photo.Added by Sheila on May 22, 2013 7:30 PM | | | Sheila
 | Sarah Oborne Photo Hi Nadine, I received a successful photo request today for memorial #45936389 - Sarah Osborne Faulkner. I'm not sure if you mixed up photos or selected the wrong memorial but the marker photos are not for Sarah.
Can you please let me know, if its the wrong photo I will need to place another photo request.Added by Sheila on May 22, 2013 7:21 PM | | | Saundra J Phillips
