Bio and Links
Bio Photo My birth name is Gloria Jean Woods, and I was born in Jacksonville, Florida on Aug. 27, 1940. My sisters, fraternal twins, completed our family three years later.

Our parents, Lonzy H. and Thelma G. (nee Saunders) Woods came from north Florida farm families, natives for several generations. All are deceased
except for a paternal aunt.

Since my retirement from a state job four years ago I have become interested in our family history, and find this site most helpful and informative.

Gloria Thank you for the info you added about your ancestor. We are a small church community and my grandparents David & Mamie Allen helped build our church In the 1900's. I have been researching info on each of our loved ones buried there. If you have a photo you would love to add we would be very thrilled. I organize our annual cemetery clean up every year. Thanks again

Green Bryant
Hi Gloria,

My grandmother was Eunice Mildred Bryant, sister to Ida, my mom has been doing the family research since I was a small child, that's the way his name has always been spelled, I know that there is no relation to the Green Berry Bryant from Kentucky, My grandmother was their last child, we always thought that she was an only child, because she never spoke of her siblings that I can remember.
I had information that he was buried in that cemetery, so I started the memorial, I've had people look for his marker, and one has found the marker for him, but hasn't photographed it, I'm not sure what happened there, I've had 2 people tell me that he is buried at the South Prong Cemetery. I have a private tree on If you need any information let me know. I now have the bug for research thanks to my mom, she's been lucky her mom started doing research when she was about 8years old. Let me know if I can help you. Tina
