Floyd Martin
Floyd Martin is buried at Mountain View. There is no longer a funeral home in Hackett & I am certain there has not been one since about 1920. There are several options to look at. Greenwood AR is the town with a funeral home it is 10 miles, Then Fort Smith has several funeral homes & it is about 14 miles, however this area is just across the line from Oklahoma & Pocola is about 8 miles from this cemetery & there is a funeral home listed there. I found this marriage license From Greenwood that could narrow down the funeral home location. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N947-5TY

Wish you the best

RE: Scheese
Two of my children that I didn't give birth to descend from John Scheese, husband of Elizabeth who went to Oregon. John died here & is buried in an unmarked grave. She traveled with her sons Charles, John (who abandoned my kids great grandfather & his mother) Andrew & Martha Scheese. Charles & Martha's spouses agreed to move west. I have quite a bit of information on the family here in Michigan.

Scheese
I raised two children from my husband's first marriage who are descendants of John Scheese & Elizabeth Gardiner Scheese. Their maternal grandmother was born a Scheese.

Sabria Moody
Just thought I'd let you know that I've made a memorial for Sabria and it is linked to Sylvester's memorial.

Stella and Charles Scheese
Do you know why Charles & Stella aren't buried together?

I have a lot of information on the Scheese family that was left behind in Michigan.

I'm looking for John Scheese-who came to Oregon with Charles and their brother Andrew-who also lived in Oregon.

RE: Wm Berger @ St Thomas
There a lots of requests just N and S of St Thomas. Plus, the fall color should be breathtaking from the top road of the cemetery!

Yup, Leo and family were on the South side with the more recent Berger burials and a couple I knew from Jordan. I was in awe of the uncle/niece duo of Homecoming King and Queen of Kevin Berger and Sheila Meyer (her mom Nancy was a Berger). There was activity at the church with a couple cars. Here's the info I found for contact 31624 Scenic Byway Rd

An Oratory of The Roman Catholic Diocese of New Ulm MN

or the Diocese of New Ulm may have info.

ON a personal note, I have a bum leg from break that never healed - you should've seen my expression when I saw the steep hillside cem! I bet there's someone with the record since the cem/church has the distinction of the center of the oldest Irish settlement in MN doubled with the tag of one of the oldest parishes in MN. There is also the Sibley County Historical Society just down the road in Henderson and open on Mondays - if you find out whether they have the records to the cem and can't get there - I can add it to my todo list and try to do a 'run' in that direction on a Sunday (when the place is open) to check the records. Otherwise, the Bergers I knew were German - was your Berger family German or Irish?

Wm Berger, St Thomas Jessenland
I di my best to hike the hilly terrain and didn't find any Wm. Berger. I did add a photo of the flagpole area. This area seemed to have a concentration of older Berger family members. On the other end of the cemetery were more recent generations of Bergers (I recognized some of the names from my childhood in Jordan). Perhaps the church would have a better physical description of the location of Wm and his stone. If so, I'd be happy to hike back and take a stab at it - If the church even had some of the other markers around Wm's and his stone location in comparison to the flagpole, the church memorial near the center or any of the benches along the 'top' road would help me tons! Sorry I didn't have better news for you.
