I have been doing research on my family since 1971. I started by asking a great uncle who his parents and grandparents were. We went to the cemetery where they were buried and he told me how everyone in the cemetery were related. I have been going to cemeteries ever since. I am doing family research on the families of: Whitehead, Baley, McIntire, Pickens, Pyron, Hudspeth, Estes, Kennedy, Boyd, Tims, Boston. Repult, Marlin, Partlow, Graves, Reynolds, Grimes, Bryan, Boone, Ruff, Robinson, Summer, West, Hulsey, Rutherford, McBrayer, Young, Gilbert, Burleson, Self, Hodson, Glidewell, Warren and others. I am also researching names on my wife's family: Mallory, Bramlett, Welborn, Ellis, West, Burgess, Shaw, Butler, Caldwell, Chapman, Medlock, Gambrell, Hester, Robinson and others. I am also researching the Samuel Shannon, Jr. family of Shannon, Lee County, Mississippi.|

I am trying to link my great great grandfather to his parents. His name is John Thomas Perry Chapman (Find A Grave#16199684).The person that controls his memorial is deceased so I cant contact him. Would there be any way you can add him to the memorial of Samuel Chapman, his father (Find A Grave#95288762)? I may have to give him another memorial on findagrave in order to link him to the rest of my family. I am at wits end and not sure what else to do. Thanks

Hi, thanks for contacting me. The name of Morgan is on her headstone, according to a cemetery transcription it says:
Mollie B. Morgan, wife of W.H. Petty
Dec 22, 1865 - Nov 8, 1897

Hi Mr Whitehead, I am sorry that I am not able to help you. My husband, who did extensive research for his family, passed away last year. I remember that we went round and round trying to follow leads regarding John and Mary Boone Grimes Walker, and eventually our documentation lead Kevin to conclude that he was not a descendant of John and Mary Boone Grimes Walker, but that he came through John and Ann Barnett Walker. It would have been my husband who could have the conversation with you regarding what he found.

Well, sort of kin from a long way back and several in-laws past - I started with Almira Medley from my Hugh Rogers family! She left a claim in Itawamba Miss. court for her share of her father's will, and listed all his heirs. I have traced them from Mississippi to Tennessee, Texas to California and at this point don't know how to get back home. Your note reassured me and thank you for more information. Barbara

I am not related to Mr. Thomas Wiley Roberson, I am a volunteer that photographed Cleburne Memorial Cemetery and if you have any additional information you would like to add I would update.
Thanks you so much for the pictures.
