I am a native of Southern Illinois, but the USArmy brought me south in 1971 and here in the southland is where I remain.

After living here on the Savannah River for 26 years I discovered that my paternal 3rd Great Grandparents owned a 1500 acre plantation only 90 miles north of Augusta, Georgia in Union County South Carolina much to my surprise.

From 1997 on, I've taken an interest in the many lines of my family and the many branches of my family tree. Genealogy is my obsession, documenting my heritage and the heritage of my wife who was a native of West Virginia, and that of my son-in-law's heritage as well, for the sake of my grandchildren.

I very much appreciate the efforts of all of the Find A Grave family.

RE: Permission to use photo
Of course you have permission. As far as i am concerned the photos i take belong to those that request them.

Danner Reeves
I have recorded all the stones that I know of with the name Reeves. I did not find Danner. There are 5 stones with the surname Danner in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Tn.

Someone made a memorial for a Reeves in a different cemetery found in Milan, Gibson County. The date does not correspond with the dates you sent in your last message. However, this memorial might be of interest to you. It is:

Best of luck with your search.

RE: Thank You - Wheelis
I tracked down our first mention of Betsy's maiden name. Don't have a date, but I mentioned it in an email 14 years ago. But also mentioned that my source was not the original. My guess is someone incorrectly transcribed the marriage record of Henry and Betsy and I put it into my software as Wheeler. I know "is" can be seen as "er" sometimes.

I stand corrected and have corrected Betsy's memorial. Thanks much!

RE: Thank You
You are welcome! Thanks for letting me know that I have helped you by sharing my photos. It is nice to know when a "cousin" enjoys seeing the photos.

We have some records that show Wheeler, as well as the older records with Wheelis. I will check my records again as to why I decided to use the Wheeler spelling for Elizabeth's maiden name.

Take a close look at the smaller tombstone photo for Elizabeth. It has the name of Orville Ross engraved upon it. This may be another husband. I reckon I will leave that research in your hands.

McDonald / Reeves clan
William, the reason that I know you were looking for Elizabeth Reeves McDonald is because I read a note that you left on another Find A Graver ("Ties That Bind").

So, Happy Birthday AND Merry Christmas! I have just transferred Elizabeth over to you along with her mom & dad, and four others. I hope this helps you in your research. Find A Graver Frances Donnally may be of help to you as well. She gave me info regarding Cynthia & Wm. Reeves.

Happy Hunting and Have a great day!

RE: Permission to use photo

Please feel free to use my photo of Fannie Caroline Maze Jacobs tombstone in anyway you need
or want.

I take as many photos as often as I can get away
to do it. I truly appreciate the photos others
have taken of my family members. Especially the ones out of state. I too, have done a lot of research into my ancestry.

So....use away my friend.

Best Regards,
