 | Union Cemetery Note - I am in the middle of cataloging this entire cemetery, and I have posted several "new" Philos.Added by Dan on Aug 20, 2012 11:59 AM | | | Greg Newby
 | RE: Lindley I'll try to remember to do that tomorrow Carl. I'm up way to late for an old guy and I'm trying to teach a man from rural Kenya how to use a computer so he can start a church. I have the Lindley's quite a ways back. Quaker lines almost always have some cross-over because they usually married within the denomination and that limited them to a very specific gene pool. My great grandparents A. E. Harvey and Mary S Lindley were related back along the line. The Lindley and Harvey families seemed to always live close to each other. | | | Dan
 | RE: Van Santvoord Ah - sorry about that. I'm sure the links will get re-established before too long.Added by Dan on Jul 30, 2012 6:42 PM | | | Dan
 | RE: Van Santvoord Hi Carl -
Which information are you referring to? Now that yours is deleted, I cannot see it. I believe Thomas Dunne manages the other memorial.
I'm not trying to cause trouble - I jsut happened to notice there were duplicate memorials...
Thanks, DanAdded by Dan on Jul 30, 2012 5:38 PM | | | RisingSun
 | RE: J S Philo I was thinking about marriages of Philo's in Woodson Co. after I sent you the note. In the Woodson Co marriages book there is one listing for a William Philo:
Philo, William T Jr, 18 Alsop, Betty E, 17 19 Jan 1950, P-307
Nothing was listed under women with a maiden name of Philo. | | | RisingSun
 | RE: J S Philo I have a copy of the listing in Cedarvale that was published in a book on cemeteries in Woodson Co. in the 1980's (I think it was). The only Philo listed is J S Philo. I do not know if you are familiar with the cemetery but it is in poor condition. It floods anytime the river gets out and I think many stones may have been covered over due to the flooding. Many stones are very very old, some are broken, hard to read etc. I have taken photos of about 1/2 of the cemetery. J S was listed on Row 9. That would have been on the east 1/2 of the cemetery that I took photos of. Many of the lots over there do not have many tombstones on them when in reality there are numerous people buried there i.e. many don't have headstones. I do not know of any other listing for Cedarvale. I wish I could be more help. The lady that took the west 1/2 of the cemetery (name is below) may have them posted or she may not. I do not know. It was about a year ago that we were both working on it. If you go to Cedarvale on Find A Grave and find a contributor named Robin Hixon, you might send her a note and see if she has come across any stones for the Philos you listed. I am sorry I can't be of more help to you. | | | RisingSun
