|David C. Henderson||RE: James D. Keaton, Jr. memorial|
Just delete the one memorial that I transferred to you, and find some info with the Battle Monuments Commission, and the National Archives under Korea.
The Henderson School may be a guess.

|Lyle Fulton||Zorus White, Jr. Photo Request|
You had requested a photo of the Zorus White, Jr
headstone in Fairview Cemetery. I found the grave and took the photo, but after uploading it to the memorial I noticed that the birth and death dates are wrong. Very wrong. Can you clarify the correct dates? I cannot imagine there would be two people with this same name in the cemetery, so I would expect either the memorial to be incorrect or the stone itself to have been engraved in error, which I doubt to be the case. Please let me know what you can about this. I will delete the photo if it should turn out to be the wrong stone.

I had no idea that you had written to me so long ago! However, I wish that James had written those dates in a bible rather than just a book, because current genealogical standards probably won't allow this booklet unless it can be scientifically established to be from the time period...bibles are allowed because they were held sacred and because everyone swore upon them in court. Even so, most lineage societies still require the publication page to prove that the bible is of the required age, and not that the information was actually written down later. Coulda shoulda woulda...

Pat - I am still trying to knock this brick wall down. Where did you get your info about Nancy White's parents? I would love to know! I have looked all over Henry County for any information about her, but to no avail. So many wives, so much time! As an ex-member of my SAR chapter used to say, "well, you are related to the northern half of Henry County, and I am related to the southern half!" My father's mother was a Carmichael, HER father's mother was Georgia Alice Morris (daughter of Nancy M. White and William A. Morris), my father's mother's father was a Green, and and SHE was married to a Russell, the Green was the son of Fargason, and the grandson of an Elliott and a Harper - ALL from Henry County! The Carmichaels, Elliotts, Russells, Harpers, Greens and Fargasons were all original founders of the county when it opened up after the Creek secession in the 1820's. Anything that you can do would be a HUGE help - thanks!

I transfered her to you. I think the information came from a cemetery book on that cemetery, can't remember for sure.

I sent you an e-mail to the address on your profile. If you don't get it, let me know. My e-mail was a little wordy, so I thought it might be better to send it that way, rather than post it here. :-)
|Quietly Resting||RE: Barnwell Markers|
They were the only two in this plot that did not have individual markers - I added flowers and in the photo caption, I put who was buried near each flower color. Hope this helps!
