We have talked before, I was living in Reno, NV. We are now located in Tucson, AZ. I have most of the information I need on Abner Johnson but the Mayflower Descendant Society is pretty adamant in requiring printed proof. The Fifth Generation book of Francis Cooke lists James Johnson and spouse Jane Harris. That book lists John Johnson born 26 March 1746, baptized 20 July 1746, married Hannah Clarke. There is also an Abner Johnson born in 1759, the youngest son of James and Jane Johnson. John and Hannah's oldest son was also named Abner(born in 1769) who married Lovisa Carter. That is the relationship I need more proof. Most sources confuse the two Abners. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. | | | Jinny Anderson

Does anyone have documents proving that John Johnson is the father of Abner Johnson born in 1769? I found some church records from East Hampton listing the marriage of John Johnson to Hannah Clarke on 10 Nov 1767. There is also a baptism listed for Abner Johnson on May 1, 1769. I have posted Abner Johnson's information from Marathon Cemetery, Cortland Co., NY. On his headstone it lists his birth as 24 MAY 1769 which doesn't work with a 01 May 1769 baptism. I want to prove the connection for a Mayflower Descendant application. | | | Don Green

You're very welcome for the photos, Sassy / John. Also, I've transferred him over to you for safe keeping. I did look a few rows above and below for any other Parks, but didn't see any. You could e-mail Inglewood on his wives to see if they are there. Make it a location request & there is no charge for a look-up.

Use the 'Edit'-> 'Suggest a correction...' facility on the memorial to send and updates or request a transfer (relatives only).

Hi Sassy JOHNSON in SoCA. I wish I could help but, unfortunately, I don't seem to be related to any persons you mentioned. My mother was Margaret Parks but not the same one. I have traced my Parks line and haven't come across any of these names. Maybe our paths will cross... Here's to a fun and successful search as well as a very Happy New Year to you and your's.
