RE: Duplicate cemetery - Preston Co.
So sorry! I forgot to mention that the memorials I set up for the Cuppett-Teets Cem. were taken from someone who personally visited the cemetery & recorded the graves.

RE: Lydia Long, Memorial# 59655198
Thanks for posting the pics! Wow, that stone is pretty worn... don't know that I've seen one that bad that's less than 100 years old... I've yet to be able to create a solid link between your Lydia, and my Benjamin Long, but still, its the best lead I have! I will keep looking, and if I find a definite connection, I'll be sure to let you know! Thanks again!

RE: Lydia Long, Memorial# 59655198
Well, if it turns out that we have a match, then we would be half-cousins (at best). Benjamin's first wife, Mary Ann Byrne would be my great grandmother. She passed away in 1922 from an asthma attack. After that, Benjamin next appeared on the 1930 census in Maryland, married to Lydia "?" who was 73 years old at the time, and born in West Virginia. In the 1940 census, Benjamin shows married to an "Evalena" who was 63 years old and born in Pennsylvania, so I am making the assumption that Lydia passed before then. I have had trouble finding any online records from Maryland. It seems a lot of folk from that area crossed into Maryland for weddings etc... Can you add the picture of that headstone to your memorial? Do you have a copy of your grandmothers death certificate by any chance? I will try to run some searches on her name and see if I can make any connections with her.

Lydia Long, Memorial# 59655198
Hello Rick! I am searching for a person I only know as "Lydia Long". She was the wife of Benjamin H Long, and shows with him on the 1930 Census living in Garrett Co. Maryland. Using the dates on the census, she should have been born about 1857, and in West Virginia. She was 73 years old on this census, and does not appear on the 1940 census. Benjamin has a different wife listed on it. I am guessing she passed before 1940. You have a memorial for Lydia Delia Beerbower Long, that fits the details of the Lydia Long I am looking for. It lists two of her husbands, but not the one that gave her the name "Long". Do you have any more information about her? Benjamin H Long was my GG-Grandfather. Thanks!
