RE: Dorothy Gorby
Thank you Pat for the message! I placed your relative into Find A Grave because of the stone with her name (and "no" death date) listed. This is a common practice in Find A Grave and is listed as a "Pre-need" grave-site. I realize she is still living. I took some time in getting back to you regarding this I have another Dorothy Gorby listed in my Find A Grave memorials. I am a Gorby descendent-my mother's maiden name is Gorby.

Thank you again for your concern. I hope this answers your question.

RE: Mary Marlow Lyday Meng
Oops, realized a mistake......O R was brothers with William Henry Lyday, Henry Frank Lyday was O R's nephew through William Henry Lyday and Mary Marlow........nephew and stepson kinda....you can see why I get these folks mixed up.

RE: Mary Marlow Lyday Meng
Hi again Pat.....so I guess you and I are cousins....my great-great grandmother was Martha Marlow-Bush, Mary's sister. The info I have (per info passed from Martha to my mom's cousin Richard Bush) looks like O R and Frank were brothers, I don't have a bd on O R, but a death date of 1863 (he died in the civil war per info I have), and since Frank was born in 1836, the ages match up for possible brothers as far as I can tell. Do you have a bd for O R that conflicts with that by chance?

RE: Sirena Burgess Headstone
You are very welcome. I notice that you are Sirena's great great grandson. I would be happy to transfer her memorial to you if you would like to have it. Just let me know.

RE: Mary Marlow Lyday Meng
Hi Pat,

Yes, I am related to Mary C Marlow-Lyday-Williams-Lyday-Meng (she had several husbands and lots of kids I found). She was my great-great-great-aunt. I only know of O R Lyday from visits to Courtney Mann Cemetery and from my cousin Richard Bush. He says that was her first husband, who died in the civil war, but I have not actually found marriage records or anything other than the headstone info on O R. She later married a William Henry Lyday, who I assume is related to O R, but haven't pinned that one down yet either. William's father was a George Washington Lyday born in 1810, but I have no mother's name. I don't know if this will be of any help to you....but if you have other questions......feel free to contact me, I would be glad to share what I know, or help find out anything you might need help on. Thanks, Cathy

RE: Annie Fristick's headstone
You are so very welcome. Your message made ME cry!! :) Now we're both all choked up! She was a sweet looking girl, how sad that she was in that place, but if it weren't for her, you wouldn't be here. : )
Glad to help and glad it made you so happy! Blessings, Julie
