|D. Larocque||Azor Betts Sumner's grave|
There is no way Azor Betts Sumner is buried in High Point, MO- Appleton must have mixed up the location of the death of his daughter Nancy Philinda Sumner Fountain with him, and 25 March 1870 could very well have been 25 March 1860.
In the 1860 census, he does not appear in either High Point, MO or Beloit, WI, or anywhere else for that matter. There is no way he would leave his 75 year old wife in Wisconsin or not be with his daughter in Missouri. I am forced to conclude that he died somewhere along the journey to Beloit before July of 1860. Beloit is now the source of two family mysteries in my tree.
