Oh I am sure the duplicate was not intentional. I hope I didn't offend you; I just wanted a true count graves.

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that there is a duplicate on Sineth Marcum Byrd. Her name is A. Sineth Byrd. There is a picture on this memorial. Just don't like duplicates.

Becky, thanks so much, appreciate it. You keep me on my toes. Yes, doing fine, hope you are also.
|Steve McDonald||RE: Emsley Jeffers|
You are welcome. The Emsleys and Emerson Jefferses do get confusing. Emsley Edgar Jeffers's grandfather Emsley Jeffers was the son of Allen McDonald. A lot of Scott County Jefferses are really McDonalds.
|Junea Sharp||RE: Judith Duncan|
You are welcome.

You are very welcome. I thank you. The first
Memorial made for him, was deleted. I have
been searching for Frank since that time.

RE HIS VIETNAM SERVICE:I previously wrote to you:
"If a Veteran's government marker reads "Vietnam", it means he served on the ground or in the air space, or in the territorial waters of that country, during the period of the conflict (1958 - 1973)and was awarded a campaign medal for that service."
(WHICH MAKES SENSE)
However, in the instructions for the inscription for a government furnished cemetery marker that accompany the application form, it is stated:
"war service in block 10, [OF THE FORM]... War service includes active duty service during a recognized period of war and the individual does not have to serve in the actual place of war, e.g., Vietnam may be inscribed if the Veteran served during the Vietnam War period, even though the individual never served in the country."
I FIND THIS INSTRUCTION TO BE QUITE CURIOUS--BUT THERE IT IS. HOWEVER, I DON'T SEE WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT A LOCATION OF A WAR ON THE MONUMENT, IF THE VETERAN DIDN'T SERVE THERE... BUT IT'S A POSSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR THE INSCRIPTION ON RICHARD'S PLAQUE.

Rebecca, are you related to this woman? Just wondering...you sent me an edit to change her name but all of the info I see in Ancestry.com has her name as Texan instead of Texas. I had to decline the edit, but I thought perhaps you had some further info on her that I'm not aware of? If so I would be happy to change it for you.

Becky, thanks for helping with Seffie Lou Lowe! She was my grandpa Harvey Lowe's (74119633) third cousin. I recently added her (and a bunch of other Lowe cousins from Smokey Creek Cemetery) to WikiTree. Seffie is at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Low-1622
|SWF||RE: Andrew Jackson Francis|
I photographed this cemetery and I also used a listing of the cemetery that I believe Pat Horne made. She had Jack Francis listed as Andrew Jackson Francis. There was no Andrew Jackson Francis in my pictures. I didn't catch it then. She had the wrong name. Jack Francis is Jack Harrison Francis and his stone reads J.H. Frances. His birthdate is correct. There is a death certificate for him.
