RE: Vaughn Bay Cemetery
Hi Julie,

Vaughn Bay is located on Key Peninsula and there is a KP Historical Society that has a website: You might try contacting them.

Here's the link to an article I found online about the Davidson family in Vaughn. It's pretty thorough.

Also, the 1860 US census - Geneva Twp.(actually it is a section of Osceola Twp. listed under Geneva Twp.), Franklin Co., IA lists the Gideon ("GM") Davidson family AND N. N. Davidson (the younger Nathaniel age 15 - birthdate 1844/45) and Nathaniel N. Davidson age 67 b. in NY - would make his birthdate 1793. So, I conclude that the older Nathaniel is Gideon's father.

I wasn't sure whether you are looking for information on the Nathaniel b. 1792 or 1844? I have a little book with me that is from the local library (also available from the above museum, I think) called "Parade of Pioneers" which was written by Bertha Davidson. She was the daughter-in-law of Nathaniel Davidson b. 1844. It's a little history of Vaughn and has some references to the Davidson family.

If you don't have access to the census records or can't get to any of the links I sent, let me know. I might be able to email them to you.

Hope this helps.
