I just received a letter from the Chairman of the Old Bethany Cemetery Association and she stated that Walter Milner is buried there but the site is unknown. There was no record of Laura and Mable being buried there.

I had a lady check out Bethany cemetery and she could not find grave for Walter or Mable Gray Milner or Laura Milner. I am checking out another cemetery and will let you know if they find anything.

If you will contact nikkmed911 that I have been corresponding with she might be able to check out Bethany Cemetery for you one day. She will be checking on some names in cemeteries and taking pictures for me. She seems to really enjoy helping in this way. You can tell her I recommended her if you want to. Good Luck and I will keep trying to help.

Have you put in a request for a picture or information on Laura at Bethany Cemetery?

I got to thinking that Laura may have died between 1900 and 1910 and since Walker was living with his grandparents in 1910, Walter could have put Bertie and Royal in Porter-Leath Orphanage in Memphis like he did with his girls that he and Annes Berry had after Annes died. I doubt the orphanage would give out information but it is worth a try.

I had noticed the Brown stepchildren also and thought that Laura's maiden name was not Brown. I have continued to search for more about Laura but have not come up with anything either...will keep trying.

When and where did Laura died and where is she buried...if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

I am the great granddaughter of Walter and Annie or Annis Berry Milner. My grandmother was Mary Ruth Milner Pittman. She had a sister Cecil Belle Milner also. I don't know much about Walter because my grandmother and her sister did not live with him long after their mother died. She died when my gandmother was about five. I would love to know anything about the Milner family. It's my family too.

Those death records are in the Death Records 1848-1959. They can be copied at no charge.
