Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Decatur, IL but have been in Chattanooga, TN area for last 10 years, living in Nashville for 6 yrs before that. I have a huge family tree on Ancestry.com and belong to Facebook. If I can help someone find what they are looking for here I would love to try.
I appreciate the effort that it takes to place data on a Memorial. I praise Any member for taking the time to do so.
I hope that the Memorials I have placed on Find a Grave are helpful to you, just as others memorial records have been helpful to me.
I enjoy volunteering to help save our ancestory.
I appreciate suggestions that helps make a record more clear to all you are looking to complete their family tree.

Lillie Ellis Smith
Hi Arlene,

You created a memorial page for Lillie Smith. I am desperately trying to locate her grandchildren. My grandmother, Alice Ellis Thomas and Lillie were sisters. I wondered if you knew the family. I need to contact Clarence Smith's children. Clarence was Lillie's son who died in 2010. I know this is a very much a long shot but I thought I would at least try.

Her grave is in Pleasant View Cemetery, Graysville, TN. I too live in the Chattanooga area.

Thank you.

Pleasant View Cemetery
I am looking for Pleasant View Cemetery in the Graysville, TN area. I noticed that you uploaded some photos of my relatives buried there (Talmage and Ethel Henry). Can you tell me where that cemetery is located? We want to visit there in April but I cannot find the cemetery on google maps.

Thank you,

Cindy Henry

L. J. Wright memorial....
Arlene:
I was photographing at the Cedar Hill Cemetery - Sequatchie County - Tn today and think I have a solution to the tombstone under the fence problem. I posted my photo of said tombstone in the memorial. The L looks like and E to me making it E. J. Wright. I posted Elijah J. Wright and his wife Helen today. Your L. J. and my Elijah J. have the same birth and death years. Their memorial is only a few feet from the fence. I think the one under the fence was his marker prior to the double memorial replacing it. If this makes sense then let me know.

No prob - I've been single visioned on uploading photos today. The edit - if you look at the memorials, you should see a tab in the upper right corner (under the person's name) that says "EDIT." If you click on that, it opens up a page which gives you the option of editing the name, dates, relationship links, etc. For relationships, you can just enter the parent and spouse links you want (it also helps prevent typo errors of someone else entering them). I think you'll like it and it is much easier for the person managing the memorial.

Likewise, if you manage memorials, you'll see these come in on your contributor tools or profile page - you'll see an edit tab at the top under your name. This also allows you to keep track of open edits you might have waiting to be done. Another benefit - if the person managing the memorial doesn't process the edits, after a couple of weeks, they automatically go through.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. Hope this helps!

Hi - we don't have any additional info on James or his parents - probably someone had submitted edits with the parents' links. We receive numerous edits and have to place faith on those submitting the links that they are accurate.

We are happy to process any edits or correction you might have - please submit them through the edit tab.

Arlene,

Is there a reason you have not submitted a photo request?

Arlene,

I do not remember receiving any notice of your message, so I am sorry that my reply is delayed. I do not remember if the stones were near each other or not. If you tell me what cemetery their markers are in (or their memorial numbers) I will look at the photos and try to recollect. It is my practice to take photos of all stones with the same surname in the vicinity, so if Julia had a marker in the area, I would have taken the photo.

I do not know anything about the family. Aside from searching for information on ancestry.com, you might try to contact the local historical society OR the cemetery office.
