Don't forget to THANK your friendly FAG volunteers today!!! A little "Thank You" goes a long way. ;-)|
***please... if you are going to REQUEST a transfer of memorials from me.... When you message me *using edit/corrections* tab, please include an email address that I can use to communicate with you. If you do not, then I will most likely IGNORE your request. I do and will transfer memorials following FAG guidelines. If you send me an email that says, "I'd like this memorial. He/she is a relative of mine"... then I do not have to transfer it to you.... If I cannot communicate with you, you will not know WHY you are not getting the transfer. ***
I becamed interested in FAG when doing genealogy research for my husband's family. I continue to be active (as much as I can), so that I may help others that are searching for or researching their family's history.
I try to do my work the "hard way". By going to the cemeteries and LOOKING at the stones, not just reading them off a list that someone else transcribed YEARS ago, as I find that data can be very wrong. From wrong names to wrong dates. In 90% (or more) of the cases, if I made the memorials, I have the photo!! I try my best not to make memorials unless I have corresponding photos. Unfortunately, since I like to visit smaller, older cemeteries, that is not always possible. If I am taking many photos at a particular cemetery and can find a previous reading that contains names to which I do not have photos for, I will add memorials for them to try to complete that cemetery's listing.
I may not have uploaded the photo for the corresponding memorial yet. If you see a memorial without a photo and want to know if I have the photo, please email me. I tried to make memorials FIRST, Edit photos for uploading SECOND, and upload photos LAST. PHOTO REQUESTS DO GET PRIORITY. If you request the photo, I can generally have it up in 24 hours, barring illness, injury, or vacation. ;-)
I LOVE obtaining photo requests. I am more likely to look at your request if you have a plot location, if available. If you take that extra step, I will go out of my way to get your photo.
I am willing to transfer memorials to family members based on FAG guidelines.
Please use the EDIT tab for corrections/additions/etc.
I also keep all my photos on file and am willing to email originals to direct descendants... just email me with the appropriate information or use the edit tab to send me a message. (just please remember to give me credit when using the photo).
Good luck researching!

Thank you for your great work at Forest Hill. I am in hopes that you can transfer the above memorial to me for management, Shirley Stanton (#46546723).
There are no descendants from her parents. The last surviving child died in the mid 1960's and was a vistor and frequent correspondent with my husband's family; my husband is 2nd cousin 1x removed. I have long been interested in this entire family and have very poignant items and names, links, etc. to share re all. In Oct. 2011 and in July 2014, I sent emails to your personal email with additional information and on July 19, 2014, edits via memorial tabs, which I have since removed. You are so busy doing Find A Grave work, one cannot expect you to add copious edits. Thank you for you consideration.

Do you have any info on Ann wife of Peter listed in Oak Hill? If this is the right Peter I. my research lists that his wife Ann M. Snell died June 1900 not 1924 and I have no record of him marrying a 2nd time to a woman of the same name.
Her obit appears in the Utica Observer June 7, 1900 lists children David, Harry, Mary (Byron) Steenburg and Ethel (Earl) Spoar.
His is a brief one liner offering no info in the Frankfort Citizen in March 1919 stating he died in the Soldiers Home in Bath.

I uploaded pictures of a few Bauer memorials that you have in Forest Hill Cemetery and sent edit information regarding them to you. I failed to include my email: firstname.lastname@example.org. I am not requesting transfer of these memorials at this point as I am not certain that they are in my family tree. However, feel free to contact me if you have any comments or concerns regarding the photos.

Hello, and thank you for your record and photo.
I was unaware you made a record on my fourth great grandmother and I made a duplicate record (Find A Grave Memorial# 112599013). How can I merge my record with yours? Maybe I just delete my record since you already have a photo for your record. Please advise.
(third great grandson of Francis and Margaret Emery Hallenbeck/Hollenbeck and great great grandson of Charles Francis and Hulda Hunsaker Hollenbeck.)
