Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a married woman with one grown child and two grandchildren. I am the family genealogist.

I had a bad fall in June 2011 and broke my back. I'm sorry I'm not physically able to do the photo work anymore.

RE: 'Cous'
Sorry I have not been on this site lately Sold my house, moved, had everything in storage for 6 months and am just now getting settled again. So by now, I don't know how I found you. Probably from his record on Find a grave. Is there a more private way we can connect?

Transfer Complete
Ok, I transferred all of them to you just now. As far as a family tree is concerned (for them), I do not have one, but you can piece it together from the info that I so carefully researched and placed in each appropriate memorial. Put that together with what you find in the Upshur and Gregg county TX, and Claiborne Parish LA censuses, and you'll have a lot of the story!

Note that William and Nancy lived next door to my great grandparents in the 1880 Gregg Co TX census, page 476B.

William Ellington and Alice Magrill were both born in Louisiana. We have not proven kinship yet, but it will not surprise me if they are 1st or 2nd cousins. Our whole family has done DNA testing at . So time will tell.

Please email me ASAP for further info at

Thanks for accepting these transfers!

Ellingtons and Hunters and Sorrells
Hi, Marcie,

I am getting rather old to be trying to manage these 8 memorials, so I was wondering if you might like me to transfer them to you? Or, if you know someone else who might like to take care of them?

Vera Dell Ellington Sorrells, # 98176323

Viola Esther Ellington Martin, # 50254032

Vallie Ellington Hunter, # 5485283
& her children
Madison W. Hunter, # 5485287
Infant Hunter, # 5485278
Infant Hunter, # 5485280

William Thomas Ellington, # 98163652, and his wife
Nancy Ellen "Nannie" Tucker Ellington, # 98142073.

Thank you,

Delta and Bert Hibdon
Delta and Bert Hibdon are my grandparents, I noticed on Delta's picture you mentioned you couldn't find Bert. It's because he's buried next to his twin sister who died at an early age, I believe in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Thank you for you're wonderful work.
Jimmy Ray.

Fitzgerald Graves
Yes, the Fitzgeralds that you found were relatives too, and I have posted them on Find-A-Grave and spent hours writing biographies on them and connecting them with the others. Thanks so much for all of your efforts, especially for going far beyond anything someone else might have done by making notes on the nearby Fitzgerald graves. That was a real good thing. Let me know if there is anything I can ever do for you in return. Nancy

I will transfer Diana to you. I can't believe I added her just last month. If you will leave me a public message with the names of the two others at Highland, I will photograph them for you.

Cecil Fitzgerald
Dear Marcie,
It sounds like you went to an awful lot of trouble trying to provide me with a grave photo for Cecil Fitzgerald. I appreciate that so very much, and am sorry that I sent you on a wild goose chase. I had no idea that his grave was unmarked. I'll have to figure out how the other Fitzgerald's fit into the equation, but right now I just want to say a big thank you for all that you have done for me. Nancy
