Bio Photo -----------Dear Ancestor------------
"Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you."

Haley Herbert Veits/Anna May Plott Veits
Hello.......I'm Mike Owens. Hal Veits was my Grandfather. His wife, Anna May Plott Veits, was my Grandmother. They had four (4) children not 3. The fourth and oldest was Dallas, born in 1909. He died in the 80's but I do not currently have his month, day, year of death info. Should have soon but I think he is buried in the same cemetary. Thanks so much for your efforts, regards, Mike owens

Elmira's Stone
Thought I'd best clarify myself before you think the worst of me!
After the fact - I see that I made a wrong comment about Elmira's stone being shorter than it had originally been. Until you mentioned it being in the background of Caroline's photo, I didn't realize I'd taken a closer up view that didn't show the two bases! Wonder why two?

RE: Elmira & Tola Stockdick
Elmira's was one memorial that I duplicated the photo since I thought mine was more readable. It appears from one of the others that at one time her stone was sitting on a base and was much taller than it is now. Still a nice sized one, just a little hard to read the slightly indented lettering.
Tola is on the same stone but on the north side and lettering is barely readable. North sides are always hard to get a good picture as the old stones have a tendency to discolor more.
Did find the little one with his name on it that is readable.

RE: Fulfilled photo request
You are more than welcome. I'm doing a lot of upgrading (adding family links) of memorials and adding pictures in Brushy Cemetery. I took pictures of the entire cemetery so it's taking some time to get thru all of them and trying not to duplicate anything that's already posted.

RE: Thank you
Your very welcome. I almost missed it because I was searching for Ethyl and the monument said Rae, but the death date was the same and it turned out to be correct.

Samuel Kipp
The date you posted for Samuel Kipp's birth differs from what is on the headstone. His memorial number is 95053863. His death certificate says he was born in 1957 in Dresden, Ohio. Could you please change your date from 1958 to 1957? Thank you.

Ruth Stanberry
You have a photo request for Ruth Stanberry, at Sunnylane Cemetery located in Del City, Oklahoma.
There are several of us that take photos there but we need to know the location of your request.
If you would be so kind at your convenience to call the cemetery 405-677-8384 for the plot location please?
Then add the location to your photo request or submit it using the edit feature to the manager of the memorial.

Then one of us will gladly fulfill your request.

Thanks so much,
