March 20, 1919

On Tuesday, March 18, occurred the death of Leona, wife of Clarence Bacon. She had been sick about three weeks with influenza followed by lobar pneumonia. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Preston of Hemlock and was born in this town on January 25, 1887, where she spent the most of her life. On December 23, 1908 she was married to Clarence Bacon of Richmond. Besides her husband and parents she leaves to mourn her loss four children, Walter, June, Norris and Helen; three brothers, Jerome Kinney of North Syracuse, William and George Preston of Canadice, two sisters, Mrs. Dayton Becker of Canadice and Mrs. Howard Shepherd of Livonia and a large circle of friends. The funeral was held from her late home Wednesday at two o’clock, Rev. Blish of Hemlock officiating with burial at the Honeoye Cemetery

Clarence Bacon

Clarence G. Bacon of W. Rish who was injured in an auto accident
Sunday, died Monday, Sept. 20 at Warsaw Hospital

He is survived by two daughters, Helen Orr of Canandaigua and June
Bacon of New York City; two sons, Walter of Conesus and Norris
of Hemlock; seven grandchildren; one brother, Glen of Hemlock; also
nieces and nephews and cousins

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Reed’s
Funeral Home, Livonia. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery,
