Hi Douglas,

You are most welcome for the photos. I was glad to do it.

There are 6 graves in the Howell plot A-67. The three graves in the first row closest to the camera view are from left to right: James W. Howell, Patty Bunch Howell and Edna.

The three graves closest to the road from left to right are: Lt. Forest Edward Frost, Laura Pencie Howell Frost and Marjorie Jean Frost. Not sure of the relationship. Maybe a daughter?

All Howell and Frost photos are posted. Let me know if you need anything else. Understand it's hard to just pop over :-)

Cheers,
Sue Ann

RE: Hi Douglas...
Oooh! The plot does indeed thicken! I will check at SB Cemetery and see if any of these wayward wives are there also. Thank you for your kind words! I am happy to help.

Sincerely, Gail

RE: Hi Douglas...
Hi Douglas, I was talking with the lady at the cemetery office and I thought that Caroline Howell could have been a second wife also. But she said that the dates were off. Since Caroline was born in 1877 and died in 1958, she figured that Caroline was their mother. Of course, this was just a guess on her part. But it is interesting when you speak with the people in the office because they have lots more of the background info than you might suspect.

So glad you were happy with what I could find. :)

Sincerely, Gail KM

Hi Douglas...
...I called the office and this is the rundown of what they told me:

Herbert Howell (he died in 1972) and Ralph Howell were brothers and their sister was Minnie Howell Mason.

Caroline Howell (from Sweden) was their mother (1877-1958).

Herbert Howell was married to Nellie (she died in 1974) and Thomas Howell was their son.

Minnie Howell Mason was the sister to Ralph Howell and Herbert Howell. Minnie was married to Richard Henry Mason, Sr. They had a son named Richard Henry Mason, Jr, who lived in Ojai, CA (near Santa Barbara).

Richard Mason Jr. was married to Margaret Mason.

So it does appear that Ralph Howell never married.

Hope this helps! :)

Sincerely, Gail

RE: Ralph Howell
No, I never heard of that here. I think families here bought plots together if they could (if there were enough plots together, that is). Since there are about 4 or 5 together, I assumed they were all related...?

I can ask them at the office, if that might help.

RE: Ralph Howell
Very interesting if Ralph never married. I wonder if the lady next to him could possibly be a sister then??

RE: Ralph Howell
I presume that this was his wife, since she is right next to him. Good luck in your searches and please let me know if I can be of further help.

Sincerely, Gail KM

RE: Ralph Howell
Hi Douglas, SO glad to help you! I assumed that Caroline M. Howell could be Ralph's wife and I have just added her headstone photo as well. I am adding some other Howell names that were in the same row too (Howell-Mason).

Take care, Gail KM
