Marha Jane Rich Michael
I have Martha in my family tree.
1st cousin 3x removed of my wife.
See my tree 'Waynesville, Illinois Family Tree".
I have her married to a William Henry Michael in 1873. He later had two other wives.
Her father was Joseph C Rich & mother was Martha Ann Walker who is buried next to her.
I was just wanting to know which cemetery they are buried in, Hoverstock or Zanesville???
A note on Martha's memorial suggests they are in Zanesville.

RE: James Carson
Yes, I added it to the site. He's in Soldier Run Cemetery. This cemetery is on our original family farm but that section has been sold years ago and now no one cares for it.

I know that you did not request a photo but I wanted to share that I was able to locate your relatives memorial and photograph it. This is unfortunately now an abandoned cemetery. All but a few markers here are on the ground, some half buried.

re:Major Shidler Connection Problems
Would you/ could you please cut and paste this into the edit section of the memorial in question? Thanks

You have a huge problem on your entry 76428387 Elizabeth Shidler Wise.
First you have her father listed Edward Wise Spiess with his birth and death dates more than 100 year later then this, his daughter.
Second, you have her mother listed as Catherine Wise Shidler 1751-1836 who is my 4th Great Grandmother, her maiden name was Wise, married name Shidler; so her children would not carry the Wise name. Her husband, my 4th Great Grandfather John Shidler Jr. died in 1817 and Catherine followed her adult children to Stark County after his death. John was buried on the family farm, Catherine in Stark Co., by her children. She never remarried after John died and if she had she would have been 66 too old to be this persons mother. Plus this person was born 2 decades before John Shidler died so there is no way she is this persons parent.
The Wise family in SE Pennsylvannia was already large at this time, well off, and in positions of authority in the mid and late 1700s and there were a lot of Shidler-Wise marrages with many first names used every generation as in German family tradition.
Please correct these links and leave the John Jr. Catherine Wise Shidler link in place.
Thank you.
There is a very good Shidler 1931 book published by Henry Shidler of MO. which might help you much if you are part of this family.
