I took over after my Aunt Geraldine Martinez passed. This is all new to me but I have become addicted in finding where my family members rest. No one should be forgotten.|
I was born in Alexandria, Virginia and now resides in Florida.
I am researching, on my fathers side of the family, Rhodes, Walters, Wright & Brockman in Virginia. On my mothers side, Lytle, Channing, Hayden & Moore in Pennsylvania. And for my Grandchildren, Greene, Caudill. Hutchinson & Vallance's in Kentucky.
I have noticed that I am not the only one impatient with the tokens coming up and I end up with two. I found that if you click on the flowers it will take you to a link to delete the extra one. =)
I have also found a link to calculate birth dates, so when you only have a date of death & the headstone gives you their years it will give you the date of birth. http://longislandgenealogy.com/birth.html
I have met the most wonderful people with Find-a-Grave. What a great family we have here. Thank you all for doing what you do.
Everyone has been so generous with their photos that I would like to reciprocate. You may use my photos in you family trees. All I ask is recognition from whom you got them.
Happy Hunting =)
"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"
Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

Not just me! I've seen the entries you have created and Joel is, well, just amazing. FindaGrave has been a great tool for finding information you just can't get anywhere else. I truly appreciate meeting my distant cousins and sharing family photos through this free site.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that I have requested deletion of this entry. I saw that you must have requested a photo and was told there is no marker. That's because this is a duplicate entry. If you look at Memorial# 96073976 you will see the infant that Barbara Pletcher died giving birth to. He (records show it was an unnamed boy) also died and both are buried together with the same tombstone. There was no second girl child. I've requested that this entry be deleted and just wanted to let you know in case you added this child into your genealogy records.

Hi Melva I've noticed your name on several different memorials and wondered if you are related to them? My ex mother-in-law was Louise Dull Ruddell Keith. Also my father-in-law was William E Ruddell and his wife Myrtle Dexter Frost Ruddell. My ex husband was Bill M Ruddell he died in Washington state he was cremated and his ashes supposedly scattered on his mother's Louise Keith's grave site. If you had rather you can email me at:email@example.com or I'm on Facebook Jeannette Walker Ruddell. Thank you

You are welcome. You may use the photo in your family tree. Milton, Northumberland CO, was his place of birth and he died November 19, 1967 in Centre County.--Storres

Definately add to your family tree. That is why I do it. Do you want to take ownership too? Then you can add other infomation on relatives.
|Alexis||RE: Amy Webb|
You are very welcome. I am sorry I couldn't find her for you.

I didn't know about the contest. Many on this website view it as a contest. They collect memorials and are unwilling to add biographies or transfer to contributors willing to make meaningful additions.--Storres

Glad I was able to get it on for you. Yes you have my permission, thank you for asking.
|Storres Myers||RE: Charles & Helen Manwiller|
You are welcome. All is well, photo requests have been infrequent lately. Keep checking this memorial for the GPS location. The coordinates will appear when the edit is approved. You may use the photos and you do not have to give me credit.--Storres

You're very welcome for the photos...glad that I could find those stones! Barbara
