My GGGGrandmother was Mary J Shields. She married Cornelius McCloud/McLeod in Oct 1850 in Carroll County, GA. She was born approx. 1833. I am trying to prove whether she is the daughter of George H Shields or his brother, Chapman Simpson Shields. Both had daughters of the right age on the 1840 Census. Do you have any information or insight?

RE: Pennington Family
My husband is a Pennington. I am a board member and volunteer as Archivist for the PRA. I'm just doing some research and adding some obits today. I'm working on newspaper articles and obits today. I don't believe this is my husband's group. I've changed so many memorials tonight, I'm not sure which one you are referring too now...Thanks. Mindy

I made the transfer. Sorry the photo has a big shadow on it. The quality of the photos depend on the time of day. However, some are under trees and very difficult to photograph no matter what time of day.
