I am not related to this lady. Since she is your GGGgrandmother, would you like me to transfer her to you? If so, please use the Edit tab on her memorial page to request it. ~ Linda

Fairview and Methodist Cem.
I forgot to mention that you can go to a site with a lot of listings for Warren County cemeteries. Someone changed a lot of names from Columbia Fairview to the other Fairview. The one near Hope has an old 8-sided schoolhouse. The names in red are mostly the ones buried at Columbia. You will also find Columbia Methodist Episcopal Cem in Columbia listed.
The site is raub-and-more,com/warrencemlist.html.

See if you like it.

John Lauer
Hi, I have been reading your notes to Rebecca about the Columbia Methodist Cemetery and Fairview. You have the right cemetery for John Lauer but Rebecca has Knowlton instead of Columbia. I've sent her 2 or 3 notices about it but no response or change. I have been to almost all the cemeteries Warren County, NJ and wanted to let you know there are two Fairview Cemeteries in Warren Co. and also both are in Knowlton Twp. The Fairview you did was the one in Columbia which is on Cross Rd., for John and the other is on Auble and Cemetery Rds., closer to Hope but still just barely in Knowlton Twp. I have relatives buried in all three cemeteries. The Methodist is across the highway (rte.US 46) on Green Street. There is a church building across the street from the cemetery but someone now lives in it. It hasn't been used as a church in a long time. I was born and grew up in Warren Co. but now live in AL. I was up to NJ about a month ago. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

RE: Photo at Methodist Episcopal Church
Hi Bill,
That sounds like an adventure. I would be interested in seeing the record book as well. I live in Florida so I have no knowledge of the area. Would it be too much trouble to ask of you to take pictures of the church as well and the surround area of the cemetery? I am trying to find out my Grandmothers relatives before its too late. I cannot wait to see if you can find his grave, this is exciting for me to try and complete this part of my grandmother's life. When I went looking for my great grandfather's grave I ran into similar problems, the cemetery was so old that no one kept up with the landscaping or anything. I never found his grave but I did successfully locate his wife's grave which brought me such joy. I cant wait to hear back. Thanks a bunch!!

I cannot find it either online but from his obituary that I have it says Columbia Cemetery and my grandmother told me that he was burried in Warren County. The name Knowlton has come up quite often in my search for his grave so Im not sure if that would help you at all.
