Bio and Links
Bio Photo I found this site while trying to put together my family tree. I have found SEVERAL of my ancesters graves on this site and will be adding some myself. I have had a hard time tracing my heritage because my father passed away when I was very young and he was my only link to his fathers family. I will try to contribute when I can, I would love to help others find where they come from. If anyone finds any graves with the last names: Laberdie, Felkey, Brinker, or Richey, from the Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana (I think) area, please let me know!! Thank you!

Debra

Wow your name brings back a lot of good memories and sad also ok they was all good from 1993 until 1999 but then she passed on at the age 44 she was a good woman and had 2 fine boys she raised her self and now days she would be proud of them.

Ok I hated to barge in but im in KY and April is up north maybe in MI. anyway I was jsut checking out some of April's memorials at the time I saw you wondering what the transfer meant since you are new to the site.

Please stick around for awhile im sure you will be glad you did and by the way if you see any close family on find a grave then just hit the suggest a correction and ask who ever if they would transfer the memorial to you im sure you could add more info for them even if you don't add anything real quick then you still have them to ad to later when ever you feel up to it.

I know some times if you try and contact someone and they don't respond then it could be several things but most of the time it is they are no onger on find a grave and have a different email address, and might had passed on, and the worst they just won't respond,

Ok if any of this happen's and you really want a memorial transferred to you then contact find a grave and they will send it to you just tell them you have tried to contact the person and no result's.

Ok it might take a few weeks but you will get it and if not then contact them again then you will next time.

Debra hope you find a lot of useful info from the find a grave site and maybe you will add some also.

Im going to add you to my friend list that way if I want to contact you in the future then it will be easier or vice versa.

Deb,
You can request that a memorial for a direct relative within four generations be transfered to you to maintain. I suggest that you go to the Find a Grave homepage and click on frequently asked questions. It will answer alot of questions about how the website works.

Transfering a memorial
Hello Debra maybe April has already told you what it means to transfer a memorial just in case if she hasn't then it means that she can transfer your daughter memorial to you that way you can add and edit anything you wish at anytime.
A lot of times people will send extra info for the one that created the memorial to add but if she transfer's it to you then you will be the only one that can maintain it.
Anyone can add a photo even if they are not the one that is maintaining it you can add up to 5 photo's but if one wants to add up to 20 then it has to be sponsored for 5.00, find a grave is a nice place for family to visit and leave a flower or a note to their loved ones and it may even help others in the future finding someone if they are already listed on here.
Myself I like find a grave a lot better than ancestory.com because you have real people on here volunteering to go out and help a stranger out by finding where their kin folks are and getting a photo of the resting place.
Ok Sorry for your loss I know you must had been shocked also seeing your daughter name on here but it was all in good intentions.

No one requested the photo. I am transcribing Hillcrest Cemetery.Eventually all the markers there will be on line to assist those that are working on their family trees.I will transfer this memorial to you if you would like.
