Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the course of visiting cemeteries to document my own family tree, I've discovered that I can't resist the opportunity to photograph the headstones of the neighbors and friends that have joined them in life's final, eternal, graveyard shift.

Occasionally the desire to know more about my ancestors' horizontal colleagues has led me to research their history and supplement the information provided on their headstones. If you find the photos and information helpful (or in need of revision) please let me know. The feedback is appreciated, and helps me to rationalize the time I've invested in this pursuit. :)

William Kenyon Alden Cemetery
Thanks for the photograph of William Kenyon. I built a findagrave entry for his wife, who apparently died in Wisconsin. It appears they met in Oswego County, New York, then moved to Wisconsin, then she died before he moved to the Alden area. I don't know who his parents are. If you know anything about his parents or wife, please let me know. Thanks.

Thank you so much for finding her Head Stone. It put me a step closer on my hunt of getting to know her. She is my Great Grandmother. I really appreciated the picture, and the time you put in to get the picture. Thanks again, Betty Glazier Whipple.

Hall Photos
I have appreciated your photo additions on Find A Grave, specifically those of Ophelia Dolly Hall, her husband Ash, and Albert G. Hall. May I have your permission to add these to my Family Tree on Any chance that you have more Hall photos? I am a descendant of Elvira L. Hall Ransom, Albert's sister.

Armstrong History
RE: Elliott Ash #58275145
Hi - Thanks for the follow-up. It's always nice to hear from other family researchers and people who enjoy history! Glad that you have seen the info about your relative. As I spend more time on my family research and work related research - I am amazed by how much stuff you can find in the most interesting places / websites! It takes digging! And, it always makes the effort worthwhile when I can pass it along to another person who is interested in the history. In answer to your question - I know there are distant relatives who settled in the Minnesota area - we haven't gotten that far into it yet - but I know from collecting bits and pieces along the way some of the relatives did locate to Minnesota. I would like to compare notes with you when we get to that section of our family research and would like to reach out in the near future. Armstrong is a common name - and that makes some of the research interesting but also time consuming . . so it's the process of the research that becomes enjoyable! Take care!
