Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family genealogy for many years. I love walking old cemeteries and reading the names out loud. There's an old saying that goes something like this: "A man dies three deaths; once when he takes his last breath, the second time when the last person who knew him dies, and lastly when his name is no longer spoken."

Thank you again, the search will continue. There are so many wrong listings and family trees w/so much, its really hard to get them all straight and separated correctly.

RE: WillamMaples
Thank you for answering so soon. I'm just trying to prove there was a Noah Maples and just who his parents were? And that Noah was my 3rd great grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth's father and not Josiah Maples and Ruthea. The Maples' list her as being the daughter of Josiah and Ruthea? I for one don't follow this lineage. My great grandfather wrote a history page on some of the Maples' family and he recorded his grandmother being the daughter of old Noah and Rebecca Maples. In this handwritten history page, he goes on to refer to them as his great grandparents. He has signed his name on this history page, Rev. Robert H. Long. When I shared the new found document in his box of original things several years back, none of them would accept his accounts of the Maples' family. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

WillamMaples
I have researched for years on my Long family and wanted to see if you have William and Prudence having a son named Noah Maples? I have them listed w/a son Noah who married Rebecca Langston and one of their children was Nancy 'Elizabeth'
Maples Long. She married my 3rd great grandfather,
Rev. George W. Long I. I too list William's parents as Stephen Maples and Patience 'Fargo.'
I also have William's grandparents as Peter
Mahpoil (a different spelling) and Aechtje J.
Van Norden. Does any of this match your research?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and enjoy the week-end.

You are very welcome! I'll send the other item that I mentioned, but please don't feel that you have to add it. It is as long as the obit, so it will take up a lot of room on his memorial!
