I am Burtram Collver Hopkins, II, also known as "Bud" and have been researching my family history since the mid-1990s. My direct ancestrial surnames that I am researching include Brainard, Copeland, Collver, Hopkins, Harris, Heyland, Ingham, Johnson, Kenny, Matlock, Parks, Ruling, Van Osdel, and Willcox.|

|Elaine Vanderwal||John Collver death year|
I thought that the gravestone of John Collver .. memorial #55716199 said that he died March 11, 1831 rather than 1833. (Some family trees have 1834). I saw the gravestone myself several years ago and I thought it said 1831. Can you review this please. Thanks a million. Elaine :-)

Whenever I find a situation like this, I send the very SAME message to both people who have the entries for the same deceased person in two different cemeteries, so hopefully they can get together to resolve the issue. This is how I do it and I will continue to notify both contributors in this manner.
Unless I am completely familiar with the cemeteries in question and which entry is in fact correctly placed in the right cemetery, this is the best way of alerting both contributors that there is a problem. I have no way of knowing if yours are misplaced or theirs are. All I know is there is a problem and it needs to be dealt with.
Just because an entry is first does not always mean it is in the right cemetery. I recently assisted in getting 90 entries in Georgia corrected where the ones made in 2009 were in the wrong cemetery and the ones made in 2012 were in the right cemetery. Newer entries in the right cemetery will take precedence over the older, misplaced entries, and the 2009 misplaced ones were merged into the 2012 entries.
Is the person buried in Mariposa Masonic Cemetery, where you have it, or in Mariposa District Cemetery, where the other contributor has it? Whichever one is incorrectly placed, regardless of date created, is the one that has to be deleted or merged.

On the way! =)
|Elaine Vanderwal||Sarah Ann Stokes|
I should also say that Sarah Ann (Sally) was born in Malahide, Yarmouth Tp Elgin Co Ontario rather than Brampton, as you have her currently. Thanks a bunch, Elaine :-)

Remember me? grt grt grand daughter of Sally Ann Stokes & Hiram E. Collver.
Can you please remove the photo of the elderly couple on Sarah Ann Stokes Find A Grave page. Sarah Ann is Memorial# 55805405. I have the original photo in question and it was not identified on the back. I don't know of anyone else who has an original photo. I know it was misidentified by others as Sarah Ann (Sally) & Hiram E. Collver but I do not think so at all. I think it is Sally's parents when I compare it with a photo developed on glass that I have of her parents. Since we don't know for sure who they are can you please remove it from Sally's page. Thanks so much for your understanding. Elaine Vanderwal

This has been done!
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||RE: Cemetery photos|
There has been a large problem with people posting the cemetery photos to the memorial pages, which prompts an icon indicating there is a personal photo of the person on the memorial, when there is none. I am a bit confused as to why the cemetery photo does not automatically appear on these memorials, and have asked Findagrave to see why the pictures do not appear. I will be transferring them all to you now that I know they are your relatives. Blessings and thank you.

Your email bounces. I noticed you placed photos of the cemetery on these memorials. When they are placed there, instead of on the cemetery page where the exact same picture already exists, taken by someone else, their listing appears to have a portrait of the person, and they do not. Would you kindly remove the photos from the following memorials? Thank you!
|C. E. Hall||Do you have a new email address?|
I sent an email to email@example.com, but it is no longer valid. I have some new information about the van Osdels that I'd like to share. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope you are in good health.
