 | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson Very Good. I will change Gertrude to Masonic also on my tree. This has always bothered me as I just wasn't sure if I have the correct cemetery, so now we have them in correct. Maybe we can find where they were buried at masonic. Mary Ann | |

 | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson I received word from the newspaper and they located an obituary for Robert Dickson and he is buried in Masonic Cemetery in Seymour TX. However they can't locate any obituary on Gertrude, they looked all way into February. I changed Robert to Masonic on my Ancestry tree and have requested a photo on Find A Grave. At present I'm leaving Gertrude at Knights of Pythias or AKA Garland Mills Memorial, due to her d/certificate information. She may not have a visible stone there so not sure where else to go on locating her. Apparently they were not buried in same cemetery.
Let me know should you come up with anything concrete so I can correct my records. Thanks for contracting me so we could at lest get part of the record correct. Mary Ann | |

 | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson In your search put "Texas Online Death Records". When it pulls up click on the one that shows Texas online Texas online records, index and obituaries then go to the 1890-1976, I believe. If you do not have a password/etc you'll have to get one, but clicking on "Sign In" in top right corner. You'll see on the right side of page something like, No account with Family research and click on create one. Its free but to be able to see the actual d/certificate you have to be signed in. After you click on 1890-1976, you can put in a name, county and date of death. Sometimes you have to play around and I've had to just put last name, & Texas and date for example as I've seen mis-spelling etc and you have a time trying to get the one you want.
Also you can do the same with other states, example, Oklahoma online death, and find things that way sometimes.

 | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson After I'd sent you the previous information, I went to Ancestry and I think I saw your tree. If correct, you can look at our tree "Leo Dowery Johnson Family Tree' and I have added the 2 death certificates and you can save them over to your tree. Mary Ann | |

 | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson Will get off to you in a day or so. Are you a member on Ancestry.com????? I have a photo of them and some children I got from another member, you might like . Not sure what all you have on them, but if you'd like to look on my tree, if your not a member on Ancestry, I can invite you and you can see if any information there is of help for your history. | RE: Gertrude Electra Britian Dickson Got spelling corrected. Also did some re-looking as when this was done I was going from information off the death certificate along with information that Garland Mills was once called Knights of Pythias. On Gertrude death certificate it showed Knights of Pythias and on her husband, Robert who died 1958 it showed Masonic. In looking I found a "Masonic Cemetery" in Seymour, but no Dickson's buried there. However that wouldn't mean he's not there, just maybe no stone. I've contacted the library in Seymour to see if they have obituaries on file for them. Sometimes that can help on the cemetery. They will get back with me and I'll let you know what shows up. I was assuming they would both be buried in same cemetery, however that may not be the case. My husband is connected back through George H Owens, husband of Margaret Dickson and Gertrude mom. George Owens dad was Bryant W Owens and Bryant's mom was Martha Ann Jordan Owens. Martha's brother, John B Jordan is my husbands GG Grandfather. I'll let you know when I hear and maybe we'll find some for sure information on the burials.
