T. Laughlin - Land records.

Do you have any knowledge of a town or township and approximate date of ownership?? Presuming it to be at time of his death give or take 5 years.

T. Layghlin d.1879
Awaiting confirmation of grave site which at time indicates no stone or marker. Notice in the records that Julia b. Mchenry d.i78 1 y. is buried next to him , will try to verify such if records show any futher info. McHenry county early land owners book pg. 25 indicates Edward 2003 , Hartland township as the only land owner that I could find in library records.

RE: Vines Turner
No there isn't a marker at all. It is just a flat field stone. We found the grave by finding the person buried next to him. I hope you read the pages that I also posted. He married a lady 2 years before he died. Her name was on one of the records. There was also a note that said Mrs. Turner was buried next to Vines.

You misunderstood. You didn't offend me at all. Glad to be of help. I don't know if he has a headstone, but I have a couple of numbers you can call to check in with that oversee the cemetery. I don't live in the area any longer or I would check.

Also, if you go to they may be able to help you obtain a free headstone for Mr. Turner.
Hope this helps.

For future reference, you can click the "edit" button on the memorial page and request the creator to either add the information you have or ask them to transfer the memorial to you, adding what relationship you are to the deceased. It angers some people when you create a duplicate memorial (not me especially). Since this is your direct decendent, I will delete my memorial. Best of luck in your future postings. Jo

RE: Vina Vashti Schell
Yes, I am related. Vina was my Dad's aunt. Martha Morgan was my great great grandmother. So we must be cousins! And no, I don't live in Turlock. My dad grew up in Delhi, CA though. My parents and my family are in Texas now. You can email me at if you'd like to swap info. Thanks for getting in contact.

Hix, Hazel (née Tracy) 83847112
I updated her memorial, but since you were able to provide me with a death year I was able to find her in the Illinois Death Database. According to this, it shows her birth year as 1891, you stated 1893. It's possible that the database is incorrect. Here's how they have her listed:

name: Hazel Hix
death date: 07 Oct 1925
death place: Chicago, Cook, Illinois
gender: Female
age: 33
estimated birth year: 1892
birth date: 08 May 1891
birthplace: Chicago, Illinois
father: John F. Tracy
father's birth place: Henry, Illinois
mother: Anna Laughlin
mother's birth place: Lemont, Illinois
spouse: Elbert
burial date: 10 Oct 1925
burial place: Lemont, Illinois
cemetery: St. Patrick
certificate number: 26278

I'm not related to her, would you like me to transfer her over to your care? Let me know.

Take Care,
