Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband is a dispatcher and I am a stay at home mom of three little boys and one little girl who kinda fell into the family tree thing. We found the program Family Tree Maker at Salvation Army one day in the book section, and thought hey that might be fun. I never knew how addicting it is. In the summer you can find us searching cemeteries and churches and historical societies looking for those things that bring our tree to life. So we do this at night and in our spare time when the kids are busy.

I leave flowers on memorials that are members of my family. So if you see a flower by me and you are related to the person, so am I :) Feel free to contact me, I love improving my tree.

St Adalbert Cemetery-Mazur gravesites
Hi-I've posted a picture to fill your request for Magdalena Mazur. She is buried between Chester J (1918-1962) and Peter (1891-1984). I did take pictures of their gravestones and if you create memorial pages for them let me know and I'll post them...Mary

Nicholas Horsch
Adam Horsch Grave

I have added dates and images to the grave of Adam Horsch (memorial #67890322) (1860-1946), the grave you added. He was my great-great grandpa and I was wondering if you could transfer the memorial to me. I have stories and a biography I would like to share as well as more information I will find down the road.

Thank you so much,

Laura Coolen
Hi Rachel and Paul
Thanks for posting the Headstone photo to Laura's Memorial. It was hard to read but by enlarging the picture and Ancestry records I could read enough to be confident it was Laura next to her Sister Louisa. If you check your pending edits I have found Laura's Mother Julia Weldele Coolen Memorial# 117204243 in St Paul, Minnesota Calvary Cemetery. And there are some relationship Links for Louisa and Lenore for you to look at.
Regards John

Dutch Surname Project
Hello Rachel and Paul,

In an attempt to make searches easier for everyone, I am proposing to those gravers who have contributed significant numbers to the Fox Valley area's Find A Grave memorials, that we all go through our Dutch surnames and remove any spacings (examples: Van Dera to VanDera, Van Den Berg to VanDenBerg, etc).

It appears that the Find A Grave search function treats a space as a spelling variation and will not list those names together which are actually the same (VanderVelden with Vander Velden, for example)and this can cause some searchers who don't know better not to search Dutch names with and without spacing.

Since most Dutch names on the Find A Grave website, it looks like, are being entered without spacing, which is also the form used by the Historical Societies, I am asking everyone to go through their Dutch surnames and edit out the spacings. I know it is a lot to ask and time consuming, but it will benefit everyone with ties to Dutch names with their research. I hope you will be able to help!

Joseph Desjardin
Hi again
Found a little more detail about him. It appears he was born May 8, 1835 in Canada, and died July 12, 1912. He was a member of Co. B, Hatch's Minnesota Calvary.

Joseph Desjardin
His name should have an "S" on the end. I believe this may be Joseph Des Jardins who served during the civil war from Maine
