Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always thought the Douglas Park Cemetery, Douglas, Wyoming, was the most beautiful and peaceful place there is.

As a little girl I would fish in the pond and take long walks with my Grandmother, Artie LeBar. As we walked from one family plot to another family plot, she would reminisce about each person as we stopped at their graves. Fortunately, because I have heard the stories over and over I am able to put them on paper.

My grandmother Artie's parents, her siblings, her husband and all 3 of her children are buried in this cemetery. My mother's mother, brother and she are also buried there. My father's father, most of his siblings, their wives, children and grandchildren are buried in Douglas also.

My hobby is and now that I have found Find A Grave, I seem to be consumed with adding memorials for future generations.

You have my permission to use any photos that I have posted.

RE: LeBar/LaBar
Hi Catherine,

I am not a Le/LaBar by blood, only by marriage. Chester married my Great Aunt Marjorie "Susan" and they had no children. If you visit my Aunt Susan's Find a Grave memorial, 97933221, you will see that she is buried in Stroudsburg and that is where her husband Chester lived. I am sure there is a connection somewhere! While you are on your travels I am looking for Quinn, Hood, Buchanan or Bowhanan and Cortright (multiple spellings) in that area :-) If I can ever be of assistance to you in Australia, let me know! Happy searching and do keep in touch.

Hi Catherine,

My great aunt married into the LaBar family in Pennsylvania in the mid 1900's. Was wondering if Le and La may connect due to spelling errors etc. Marjorie Hood married Chester LaBar, Stroudsburg PA.
