I have always thought the Douglas Park Cemetery, Douglas, Wyoming, was the most beautiful and peaceful place there is. |
As a little girl I would fish in the pond and take long walks with my Grandmother, Artie LeBar. As we walked from one family plot to another family plot, she would reminisce about each person as we stopped at their graves. Fortunately, because I have heard the stories over and over I am able to put them on paper.
My grandmother Artie's parents, her siblings, her husband and all 3 of her children are buried in this cemetery. My mother's mother, brother and she are also buried there. My father's father, most of his siblings, their wives, children and grandchildren are buried in Douglas also.
My hobby is ancestry.com and now that I have found Find A Grave, I seem to be consumed with adding memorials for future generations.
You have my permission to use any photos that I have posted. I would just ask that you give me credit in the description.

I did not post that. That is the Find A Grave website offering to you the chance not to show my cemetery photo on your relative's memorial page.

Are you sure that edit is correct, because you wrote William Williams sent it for William Depuy?
|Richard K Thompson||Phillip LaBarr middle name|
I received your edit request for Phillip LaBarr to change his middle name. Did you receive my separate email to you about what I found from his obituary and death record? I've not heard back from you - I don't want to decline your edit request without your further comments on what I found, to try and reconcile your information and my information.

Thank-you - I found three sources listing his DOB as JAN and I have placed the info in the bio area.

I sent you and email about Chester and Marjorie Hood LeBar/LaBar - not sure if you got it, but that is exactly where they are from. They are buried in Stroudsburg. Marjorie aka Susan was born in Stroudsburg as was all of her family. I will be surprised if you don't run into them somehow or other. Please keep in touch! Enjoy your trip.

I am not a Le/LaBar by blood, only by marriage. Chester married my Great Aunt Marjorie "Susan" and they had no children. If you visit my Aunt Susan's Find a Grave memorial, 97933221, you will see that she is buried in Stroudsburg and that is where her husband Chester lived. I am sure there is a connection somewhere! While you are on your travels I am looking for Quinn, Hood, Buchanan or Bowhanan and Cortright (multiple spellings) in that area :-) If I can ever be of assistance to you in Australia, let me know! Happy searching and do keep in touch.
My great aunt married into the LaBar family in Pennsylvania in the mid 1900's. Was wondering if Le and La may connect due to spelling errors etc. Marjorie Hood married Chester LaBar, Stroudsburg PA.
