William Buel
Sorry Phebe but that was the genealogist Albert Welles photo not a Buel.
William was not a Beville or from the same place.
Welles and associates did bad research or overlooked the most important fact. William Beville died in 1637. Even has the wrong wife as mother. His mother was Coles. His step mother was Elizabeth Hampson and her mother was Katherine Good.
Goode(wife?) Buel could have been a first wife or his mother. see photo on wife's page

Yes, the Earnest home is now known as Spring Green. I last visited the Hanover County area in 2001 and was allowed to visit the home, which is privately owned. It appears that the home was sold out of the Earnest family in 1866. The home was built circa 1745 and is on the National Register of Historical Places.

I made two trips to that area seeking the Earnest Family Cemetery to no avail. I had found a reference to the land that had been set aside in a deed book back in the 1990s.

Thank you so very much for the additional information on George Ludwell Earnest and his wives. I have redone the bios on both. Please let me know if they are now correct or if there are any errors.

There is a marriage record on for "Agness Huges" and George on August 1, 1839, Hanover Co., VA. Was his first wife also named Agness or Agnes?

I am descended from George Earnest and Rose Vines of Hanover Co., VA through their son, George. I have visited the area several times over the years and have also visited their home, which was built circa 1745. I would enjoy hearing from you again!

Thomas A. Anderson
I was wondering where you got the info for this one?
Thomas A. Anderson

I had just talked to the cemetery about where the plot was located, but there is no marker. Just wondering if you have any other info. Also his wife Angenetta was to be buried there as well, but they had no record of it.

This is my Great Great Grandfather.

Weaver, Francis Baker
Phoebe - I noticed you added a photograph of Mr. Weaver to his memorial page. Is this another of your relatives and would you like a transfer? Just send me an SAC with your relationship for Find A Grave Memorial# 78223023.

Austin Grigg Part 2
I went back to the cemetery today and stopped by the office to get the location of the grave for Austin Grigg. I found it with no problem knowing where it was. I got the photos for Austin and Helen W. Grigg. In the same plot was a headstone for Frank Morton Webb and Evelena Barlow Webb.

Austin Grigg at Riverview Cemetery
I looked at Riverview Cemeterybfor the grave of Austin Grigg and wife Helen. They are not buried in the family plot that you listed in the request. The cemetery office was closed when we went down, so I will check to find an exact plot where they are buried the next time I go down when the office is open.

I am adding two more Grigg's that are in the family plot within the next couple of days, Nellie Chockley and Joseph Warrwn Grigg.

Hope this helps,
