RE: Virginia Fifer-Eaton
Please tell me which cemetery she is located in. I have been transcribing so many for the Historical Society, it is hard to remember where all are located. I will gladly correct my error.
Thanks.

You are very welcome Linda; it is nice to hear from multiple people about the same sighting.

RE: Thanks Again!
Hello. It was a pleasure! My grandfather was superintendant of Oakland Cemetery for many years, and I still love going there. Looking for graves gives me an "excuse" to wander around the cemetery! I've also run across a few interesting stones, which I then researched and published short (around 50 pages) books about. The first grave I wrote about (in 2007) was the infamous "Black Angel" of Oakland Cemetery, and I've written three more since then. Anyway, I knew exactly where your great-great-grandparents' grave marker was, since I drive right past it (within a few feet) every time I go to water flowers on my family plot. Unfortunately, the wife's side of the stone has had more weathering (especially toward the top), but I was able to make out the short Bible verse at the bottom, which I included when I posted the photo.

Minnie Hess
I just added photos for Minnie Hess in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City. In the caption of the plot photo, I listed the four stones in the plot, names and dates, in case you are interested.

Wish I could help you but I don't know a thing about her. I copied the graves out of a cemetery book. Kay

RE: Thanks!
You are welcome for the photos at Grandview Cemetery. I also noticed that Louis Buddy was next to Clara Buddy, so I added a memorial for him as well.
