It's great to see all the information people have put in here. |
I've been working on my family geneology for a few years now and find it most interesting.
Thank you to everyone for all the help and suggestions in getting my family information onto here.

You posted an entry in 2010 for Norman Hawley which has errors. The Norman Hawley that died in Baron in 1904 was a different Norman Hawley that was born in Connecticut in 1819. Interestingly, both Normans ended up in Wisconsin near the end of their' lives. This is all easy to verify from census records.
I have been looking for any record of the death of my ancestor ( Norman, 1816, married to Betsy, living with son-in-law Jacob Griswold in Omro, Wisconsin in 1900 ). The Norman that died in 1904 in Baron was living with his wife Elaner (Eleanor) in Maple Grove Wisconsin in 1900.
If you should ever find a death record for the 1816 Norman I would very much appreciate knowing about it.

|Debbie Way||Your Bolen Family|
I would like to know a little bit more about your Bolen Family. How you are related. I am looking for the nearest living relative of Ethel Bolen Witkoff. Seems a marker was paid for at her passing but they never gave the inscription for marker. I am not a relative as Ethel lived with my great Uncle Lester Klatt for several years but never married. I would just like to see her get a marker. My mother spoke often of Ethel.
|Valarie Vine||Snapp family|
The Snapp family (Raymond, Laila, and their son are buried at Sierra Hills Memorial Park Sacramento, CA. I've added photos of their headstones to your memorials.
I don't know if you are aware of the basic rules of Find A Grave please read this
How do I add a memorial when I'm not sure what cemetery they are buried?
This is similar to adding a memorial for cremation. Do not create a new cemetery which does not exist in order to add these memorials. Use the Family and Friends link and select the Burial:Other and then Recent Death, location of body unknown option. Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known.
Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days
Your unknown burials can be removed after 30 days. Most have been here years.

How and where did you get the information for this? This would be my 5th Great Grandfather and haven't found as much information as what is on here. Please help! Thanks, Nikki
|Ken Gaiser||Betts research|
I am researching the Betts family in my tree. Abigail Betts was my great grandmother (she married Frederick H. Gaiser). Her father was Thomas V. Betts who married Mariah Sharp. Thomas' father was Andrew Betts Jr. who married Rebecca Birch. Andrew Jr.'s father was Andrew Betts, Sr. who married Catherine Unknown. I have Andrew Sr. as the son of Martin Betz (b. 1725 in Germany). I have Martin marrying Elizabeth C. Long but your information shows him marrying Elizabeth Heintzelmann. Can you help me verifying any or all of the above?
Thanks, Ken Gaiser
Please help me understand why you create unknown burials. I guess when I'm on Find A Grave I expect to find a grave. Thanks.

|My Labor of Love||Wolfe Family|
You created memorials for the Wolfe family, but you have their burial place as [unknown]. I have the some of the same memorials, but I have their burial location and headstones attached. Since yours were created before mine, I'll delete mine, but you'll have to contact Jay Kruizenga @ http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&GRid=114098863&MRid=47257349& to attach the headstones to your memorials.
Here are the 2 memorials in question:
Etta Celestia Simkins Wolfe - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=114098863
Charles Fred Wolfe - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=114098616
Please copy the information I have and then let me know when I can delete them.

Do you have a marriage date & place..how do you know She & Rufus were married? It is strange that she had children and used her maiden name to marry.
I've found nothing indicating she was m. previously before Jotham Taft with whom she is resting...
