Thanks for moving the photo to the correct memorial. Actually thanks for ALL the work you do for findagrave. I see your name lots as I am going through AL cemeteries looking for cousins.

Take care,

Liberty UBC Cemetery
I am hoping you will move the photo you have on #54625390 to #161165648. It doesn't belong with the infant of James Wesley and Mary Jane RODEN GILBREATH who died in 1928.

Many thanks,
Dianne

RE: Gilbreath Co of Independent Scouts
The article I found mentions them both and lists all the soldiers from these groups.

Gilbreath Co of Independent Scouts
Thought you might be interested about this group of people. I have ran into several tombstones with this during my family research and found out that this was actually a group of union scouts during the Civil War. The Gilbreath name is some of my husband's family. I have placed this article in the Boaz, Albertville, and Guntersville libraries.... "Some unforgotten Union Soldiers", by Robert Davis.
Thanks for all the pics at Mt Flat Cemetery. It has helped me confirm a lot of my family information. Would love to know what happen to the Gorham children stones there. I was told that there were 4 children stones...just not sure if they were with John or Clara and Harry.

Charlie N. Gilbreath
FYI: His dob is 5/5/1868, not 1968. He died Sept. 2, 1959 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP ON FIND A GRAVE AND THE PICTURES.

Harry Marion Gorham at Liberty
By chance do you know where his wife Nancy Bailey is buried. His daughter Nancy Gorham Williams is buried close to him and many think this is her at first glance.

Liberty mess untangled somewhat
It be done!

Approx 200 yanked out of Liberty Baptist and reinterred into Liberty United.
About 180 with new images
About 50 with new linkages

Because Ms Hamby used a printed survey, I took the liberty of DELETING duplications and those where there was no burial at all, just a headstone waiting for them. I consider these entries dubious, because people are not always buried where they think they will be, and it just seems wrong to put them out there.

There are still issues: she misspelled names, created some same-sex marriages (seems unlikely for the time period) and did not follow the FindAGrave blanks for middle and maiden names correctly, but I will see how many of these I can spot and fix. There are still some "managed" memorials that are in completely wrong counties, like one of my favorites, CLINTON ROLLINS, there aren't many of us Clintons out there. Check out his beautiful marker at the WRONG cemetery.

MOST IMPORTANT: Help me find researchers and/or descendants who want to manage these memorials, I do not want them, they are not related to me. Ask for as many as you want, and put the word out so that I can distribute these. I have no desire to "own" memorials other than those for my own family.

Cemetery corrections
Technique for mass corrections of memorials:
Place all questionable memorials in a Virtual Cemetery.
Verify their proper locations
Split the Virtual Cemetery into another one, where one contains unmanaged or very old memorials.
Ask Find A Grave to transfer all unmanaged memorials to you
Make another Virtual Cemetery that represents a one-to-one correction or many-to-one, example: Liberty Baptist to Liberty United, or Liberty Baptist and Liberty Hill to Liberty United)
Ask Find A Grave to mass transfer all of those into the single correct cemetery.
Go to the ones that are incorrect but still managed, and ask the submitters to 1)"rebury them, " or 2) xfer to you. This has a lot more strength if you have images you made at the correct cemetery, regardless of whether these memorials have pics or not.
Put the ones you xferred, put into a Virtual cemetery and correct the burial location.
The ones that you do not get xferred and mgrs do not respond, keep in a Virtual Cemetery and report to Find A Grave. Just like above, if you have PROVEN that they are wrong, this has more clout.
I am using this technique to fix the appalling mess created by Sharon Hamby and a few others, and Liberty Baptist and Liberty United are slowly becoming correct. I had to take 200 images to prove it, which strictly speaking may not have been necessary, but I wanted to do it anyways. Both Liberty Baptist - Henegar and Liberty United - Liberty, are well-kept and deserve better.
I have no relatives in either of these cemeteries, despite my last name. I have lots of relatives (gr gr gm) buried in Henegar, but none in the three Liberty cemeteries. I do not have the heart or strength to check the Painter yard for mistakes, maybe later.
