|klassikat||RE: SPENCER PITCHER 1835-1913|
Hi, I took Lucy off his mother's name but I'm a bit confused as well. If his last name was Pitcher, how could his sister be a Dudley? Thanks for clarifying.

I sent you an email. May have gone to your spam folder? Yes, I'm interested in more info!

You are welcome. And yes to the answers of one and many more to take the place in genealogy. But you still have the conquest of the answered under your belt and many more adventures added. I tried wild card searches with different spellings as well. I even tried the surname with Gilley and Gille and a couple of others, in the 1880 census not any given name. I forget the years the transient camps were in operation here in Springfield but many folks came from all around to get the medical attention from those they could not get elsewhere. Some people just wondered into the camps and there is little information on them. It is so sad. I have resesarched some of these. I think you should try obit look up. I go to our genealogy library and they are a great bunch of folks that work in that section. Many of them are Ozarks Genealogy Members working there as volunteers. They do look ups as well.
Here is a link to that library. They do some free look ups. Maybe it will not cost. but if it does sometimes just a dollar or two.
You may want to use the mis-spelling as well for his given name when you talk to them. Cite the page from the book and the name from the cemetery records that I noted. It may help. When you call you may even get someone there that knows about my work on findagrave to add those memorials to help someone find their loved ones. It was a pleasure to do some research and I hope it helps you. Love to find family and I hope you prove this one to be yours and the research comes out well.
