Hi! My name is David and I am an avid genealogist and family historian. I was bitten by the genealogy bug many years ago but the Internet took the hobby to an entirely different level!
All of the memorials that I have created and those that I maintain are for ancestors and relatives with the exception of those in the "Unrelated" virtual cemetery listing. If any information contained in the memorials is incorrect please let me know and I will gladly update them. Also, if anyone has any photos of any of the individuals in the memorials I would greatly appreciate them being added to the memorials. Please feel free to use any information or photos that I have posted for your own personal use. If any of the memorials in the "Unrelated" listing are relatives or friends of yours please let me know and I will gladly transfer their memorials.
I believe that we honor the dead by maintaining their memories. I read once that when we die we do so twice. The first is the actual, physical death. The second occurs when the last person who knew us passes and all living knowledge of us is gone. I feel that by creating memorials for family members and photographing their graves that I help to keep their memories alive. Often as I wander through cemeteries reading the names on old grave markers I wonder how long it has been since someone read the name and remembered the person buried there.
