Considering I was the little kid whom delighted in listening to the 'old folks' tell stories to each other, you might say I was interested in genealogy since before I ever heard the word. My goal is to gather as many personal histories as possible and to leave as much correct, analyzed, & cited information that time & skill allows. I'm lucky that some of my kin left information upon which I can build.|
I hope everyone whom is researching their ancestry also takes the time to preserve their familys' heritage through documenting their own interesting stories, memories, photos, momentos, recipes, events, ideals, passions and anything else which makes one unique. One day we shall each be the mysterious ancestor.
Good Luck to all in your research endeavors!

DO you know if the Purple heart was returned to the family?
|Al Greene||Kin folks|
You must be Bobbie Ruth's daughter.
I named my youngest daughter Marcella also after Grandma Pearce and I think that you two were at a reunion the same year in Magnolia once.
I am Alvin Greene, son of Holland Pearce Greene.
Stuart Davis, son of Levi Davis, and I went to the cemetery, but could not find the grave of Laz Pearce. We found the grave of Dr. Morgan and family, but could not find Laz Pearce.
Do you have any more photos of it? Now I know about where it is from the photo on here.
I am thrilled that I found this site.
Please contact me directly via email. I have a lot to discuss with you.
How is your Mother? Give her my regards.
Thankfully, the Medal of Honor Found by Carrie has found its way back to the soldier's niece. I was sent a link to the news and we can stop looking.
I do not find the memorial placed earlier by a volunteer. It possibly was taken down because of all the messages and emails this memorial manager received.
Thanks for the notes on flower you placed.

No, I don't mind at all! If I can help in any way to get it back to its rightful owner, or his family, I'll certainly let you know!

Hello. I am Contributor Debra Smith Grubbs (47706171) and see you maintain the memorial for Lazarus Pearce. He is a descendent of my 5G Grandfather, William Harrison. There seems to be disagreement in William's DOB. I was wondering what your research shows? Thanks! Debra
Hello. I was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Anchorville yesterday and took photos of Anastasia and David J. Meldrum's stone. On the Find A Grave Memorial Anastasia's birth date is shown as 1891. On the stone it is shown as 1890. I did post the photos I took. Take care.

Transfer done. FYI, the Peterson family in this cemetery is planning a 100th year Reunion, THIS year, the weekend of July 26, 2013, & I do hope, if you all are related at all, you would consider attending. I have a facebook page for the Thomas Peterson reunion. Take good care of Miss Ruth's memorial!
|Michelle Garner||RE: Memorial Transfer Requests|
Please tell me how you are related to Levi Pearce. I will need to know this in order to transfer him to you.
|Iris Meshell||RE: In Gratitude|
That's great, Marcella! I'm glad to yield management to folks who can efficiently maintain and add interesting facts on their relatives' memorials. Have fun with these!
