I have been working on my family ancestry for quite sometime now. It did not become that important to me until my Grandpa passed away in 2007 and then my Granny in 2009. I realized just how many stories and facts that I missed out on. I have been researching all sides of my family for the last 2-3 years. |
Family names are: Weast, Lippard, Dobbins, Wall, Honeycutt (and all variations), Morrow, York, Wilhelm, Lowder, Culpepper (all variations), Murph, Weller, Shepherd (all variations) Garrett, Sawyer, McPherson, Gammon, Harris, Fortune, Melton, Deck, McLaughlin, Benfield, Biggerstaff, Blanton, Bridges, Burgess, Carpenter, Christy, Cockerham, Deal, Hames, Hamrick, Hawkins, Holland, Humphries, Jenkins, Jolley and Ross.
I enjoy finding all of the old family cemeteries that are off the beaten path and posting those on here. I will take pictures of any that I find. Please feel free to copy any pictures I take. You have my full permission to post them to Ancestry.com or any other site. Also, I will gladly transfer anyone that is not kin to me, all you have to do is ask!

Hi Are you related to the Booths and did you post all the bio information for him? I'm always grateful when I get more family names. The Virginia death index gives his age as 77 at the time of his death which would make him born in 1795 not 1788. I'm guessing you didn't order the tombstone so are not responsible for the information placed on it but am wondering if you have records verifying some of the facts. Thanks for posting the picture always nice to find. MLee

|H Ellis||Harrison Crockett descentant|
Hello: I am interested in communicating with you regarding the Harrison Crockett family. He is my great-great grandfather (Father of Mary Elizabeth Crockett who is the mother of Addie Crockett (my great-grandmother). I would love to communicate with you to share and verify information.
I, too, am interested in the Ellis family line. I understand that some of my Ellis family came from Monroe County, WV. We have had a difficult time making links because of the limited information we have about his family. Hope we can talk about that, too.
Hope to hear from you soon.

I see you have surveyed this cemetery and would like to know if you listed all the graves you found and photographed. The reason for my question is I am looking for the grave of Brenda Gail Carroll who died 12-29-97. The obit said she was buried in the Hall Family Cemetery in Dry Valley. Since I did not see a memorial for her, I was wondering if there would be any use in visiting the cemetery to look for a marker.
Thanks, Best regards, -A
